codemonkey85 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Hey all. In an effort to stay in touch at all times, I am using my mobile phone to access the forums now. I couldn't help but notice, however, that the "Menu" button doesn't work, and that I can't access the moderator functions. If those issues could be addressed, that would be awesome. By the way, I'm using a Samsung Impression and the MediaNet browser. EDIT: Also would be nice to have dates next to the timestamps for each post.
Greencat Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I created the icons and set it up, but I didn't develop it. It's meant to be a quick basic look at things. AFAIK, there isn't any Moderation options unless you switch to a regular forum theme. Reason why it doesn't have much info is probably so it benefits text-based web browsing phones (usually non-smart phones cells). Sorry, I don't know how to fix it. Perhaps SCV or Fallen know.
codemonkey85 Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Ahh, gotcha. I'll PM them then I guess. Thanks for the response Greeny! Also, I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that moderation options (being text-based themselves) wouldn't bog down a mobile phone all that much, right?
evandixon Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I couldn't help but notice, however, that the "Menu" button doesn't work, It works fine on a DSi, however. Mod. tools side-effect maybe?
codemonkey85 Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 I dunno, I suspect maybe the MediaNet browser just sucks... in which case I'm not sure if anything can be done to help it.
codemonkey85 Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Just FYI, surfing the forums with my shiny new iPhone it appears as though the mobile theme was really made with this platform in mind... everything looks and runs much smoother. So I guess for my part things are good!
