PKHeX Save file size

Hi! So I tried using PKHeX to edit my gen 3 (emerald) save file but it simply refused when I tried to open it. Apparently it has to do with the file size as mine is 64kB and it's supposed to be 128kB?How do I change the size?

1. Keep a backup of the original save (in a completely different folder, I may add)
2. Change the save size on your emulator settings.
3. Launch the game now (It might not read the old save. If so, use the import save or import battery option, and import the save from 1. above. Then soft reset.)

Thanks, that seems to have worked, even though the file size remains unchanged.

hmm? the size of the new file in the emulator's battery folder should have changed, tho.

same problem by allmost every game now. but how to change the size by desume?
