My .SAV file isn't 256KB or 512KB. Help.

I'm using Pokesav HGSS and when I try to open my HG save I get an error. I noticed my file is only 152KB. Is there a way to decompress it or something?

Tell us a bit about the cartridge you use, is it CycloDS or similar? Is it official JP game perhaps?
