So after the new PKHeX update i noticed that some of the changes were targeted for Crystal VC.

I have found that some pokemon are now passing legality checks that didn't prior to this update but there are still some that say they are not legal when i can transfer them just fine via transporter.

So far there are only a few exceptions, Celebi and the Igglybuff/Cleffa/Pichu odd eggs (might need further investigation as these eggs were cloned altho other clones passed)

All of these pokemon were obtained in-game without any save editing of any kind as i just used PKHeX to check DV's and other info.

 

edit: eggs pass legal checks after been hatched so perhaps it might just be a mistake on my behalf with the process of cloning them.

While still an Egg, they should be Legal when viewed within the context of a Gen 2 save. @Kaphotics

The Pokemon within Odd Eggs have Dizzy Punch, which cannot be migrated through Pokemon Bank. PKHeX should automatically remove that move when migrating, though.

 

Not sure why Celebi is failing. Could you submit the .pk2 files of any Pokemon marked as illegal?

That's mighty strange... i've triple checked that my build is updated and it clearly shows that in the screenshots but it comes up showing illegal every time... any idea what could be causing this then? i've made sure to replace both files but at least it's confirmed not to be an issue with PKHeX.

Oh i see.. haha that makes a lot of sense.. i did not realise PKHeX would read the saves by the file extension to recognise where they originated.. i actually dumped my save and had been using it on an emu with lua scripts to shiny hunt entei/raikou so i didn't bother changing it back yet.
