Amazing find for sure, i guess i'll go SR for one later and wait patiently to see if GF tries to correct the mistake since i do doubt they'll leave it how it is, their intention was probably to shiny lock it solely because it is Ash's pikachu which isn't even shiny in the anime... but then again it's the exact same sprite and wearing a hat like the real pikachu does so who knows. -

Oh i see.. haha that makes a lot of sense.. i did not realise PKHeX would read the saves by the file extension to recognise where they originated.. i actually dumped my save and had been using it on an emu with lua scripts to shiny hunt entei/raikou so i didn't bother changing it back yet.

That's mighty strange... i've triple checked that my build is updated and it clearly shows that in the screenshots but it comes up showing illegal every time... any idea what could be causing this then? i've made sure to replace both files but at least it's confirmed not to be an issue with PKHeX.

Yeah i do suspect it must have been a bad clone with the eggs, bad timing or something but as for celebi i am still confused with that because i soft reset for it to be shiny so it definitely hasn't been tampered with in any way. 251 ★ - CELEBI - D3D4.pk2 172 ★ - EGG - 5B56.pk2 173 ★ - EGG - 3F15.pk2 174 ★ - EGG - 5C14.pk2

So after the new PKHeX update i noticed that some of the changes were targeted for Crystal VC. I have found that some pokemon are now passing legality checks that didn't prior to this update but there are still some that say they are not legal when i can transfer them just fine via transporter. So far there are only a few exceptions, Celebi and the Igglybuff/Cleffa/Pichu odd eggs (might need further investigation as these eggs were cloned altho other clones passed) All of these pokemon were obtained in-game without any save editing of any kind as i just used PKHeX to check DV's and other info. edit: eggs pass legal checks after been hatched so perhaps it might just be a mistake on my behalf with the process of cloning them.
