prog rocker Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) Hi, I made an account here to ask something that has been bothering me for weeks. I use Pokéhex mainly to make mono-line challenges possible in my games. However, when I'm trying to open my Fire Red save this happens: I don't know what I'm doing wrong since every other save file I have (Black, Emerald, etc.) opens with no problems. Can you help me, please? Edited November 8, 2017 by prog rocker
wrathsoffire76 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Try redownloading PKHeX and use that. The save file is loaded btw
prog rocker Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 Just now, wrathsoffire76 said: Try redownloading PKHeX and use that. The save file is loaded btw Already did that. It's not working. Not sure if this is important or not, but I tried using both the normal VBA and the Re-record(?) version. Should I attach the sav?

Kaphotics Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 you've used cheats on the save file, which breaks any pattern used for save detection. you'll have to hold control when importing the save.

Thanks a lot. I didn't know about that trick. Guess I'll be finally to complete my Butterfree mono challenge now. EDIT: I know this is kind of off-topic but can you tell me why I can't use my Crystal saves after editing them? VBA gives me a message about not reading the real-time clock or something like that. Kaphotics Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 it's ripping off the last few bytes used for the RTC footer -- it's probably a 1-2 lines of code fix but I'm preoccupied with the new stuff right now You can compare the two files in a hex editor at the bottom, just insert the RTC data at the end of the edited file.
