PLAYER 1 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I'm concern about the TID being only 5 digits, but after generation 7 all TID have 6 digits. could this lead to Pokemon being detected as fake or generated on public event? Thanks in Advance.
wrathsoffire76 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 No, the Gen7TID is only valid for native Pokémon that came from Sun and Moon (The + icon), you can have a 5 digit TID and it will be legal if it is not from gen 7 (sidenote, please make your titles shorter in future)
theSLAYER Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I've renamed the title, as it was ridiculously long. While not directly obvious, it's possible for event Pokemon in Gen 7 to be faked. lets say a real Pokemon G7TID is 100117, and a fake one had the same 6 numbers. In game, you won't be able to tell the difference. However in PKHeX, the key difference lies with the TID and SID combo. Real event Pokemon will have a unique TID/SID combo, whereas fakes TID/SID combo could differ between each other. How do we know the real combination, you ask?
