FishoLAD Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 So I've been using an older version of PKHex since the 6 or so months. Unfortunately my laptop back then decided to malfunction and now I have a new laptop. I decided to reinstall PKHex and noticed it been updated. The change didn't really bother me as I never used the codes and what not. I have a old DS with the old system. So I inject my pokemon through the method that requires you to type in an address and crash it in order to access the Ramsav.bin file. Anyway, I since tried to make a few pokemon on this new version on PKHex and tried injecting them into my game. Everything went well, I typed in the address bar, clicked enter and it showed a green screen followed by an error after the website crashes. However, when I go back into my game. I have about 3 seconds until my game play freezes and I get an error saying something went wrong and system needs to restart. I never had this happen to me with the older version of PKHEx. I've tried basic modifications to pokemon like adding a compatible TM move to a 6th gen pokemon obtained in OR. But I still get this error. So it has nothing to do with the pokemon themselves, but the way it's being injected. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you solve it? If not, how would I go about finding a source to the older version of PKHex? Thanks.
XerneusGuy Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 If I remember correctly from the thread above this kaphotics has removed ram2sav support. If you're on a low enough firmware to use ram2sav you may as well use the homebrew launcher and extract a full save file through apps like save manager
FishoLAD Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Typical. Why change what's not broken... Why isn't there a download option for the older version, why did they completely replace it and remove certain features... I tried the homebrew launcher and it requires a youtube app and for some unknown reason when I click on ESHop it says it's not available in my region... Uhh it's just so annoying. Why couldn't they just keep supporting Ram2sav... or atleast have access to both versions!
Kaphotics Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Why does Microsoft not support Windows 2000? Tubehax is almost as outdated as ram2sav. You'd need to find a browserhax tutorial. If you want an old version of PKHeX, you can always compile the source code from any point in time.
