help Resetting my save

Hi guys, I've been trying to edit a pokemon diamond rom save with pokegen (desmume) and whenever I add in the pokemon it resets the save as though it was never there? I've tried the tips on here about exporting and editing that file rather than the. Dsv but when I open that I have no pokemon in the party, does anyone know how to get around this? I would prefer the rom randomised but I've tried both a clean rom and randomised it doesn't work either way.

In DeSmuMe, use File -> Import/Export Backup Memory.

as i said, i've tried this, when i go to edit that file it has no pokemon in regardless of the fact i have a piplup or whichever starter i have in my party, that has not fixed the problem, and even if I edit it regardless and then load the game up it doesn't load the file and resumes as though there isn't a save.

Please upload the save from File -> Export Backup Memory, and maybe we'll get an idea of what's wrong.

This is the exported file, do you want the regular save as well?

When importing into DeSmuMe, be sure to tell it the save size should be the size of the imported save (second radio button).
