N Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Hello, great program! As a frequent user of PokeGen I discovered features on PKHeX which I never saw before. Can you tell me what they are doing/how they are influenced? I speak about those features: 1. You can choose hidden ability (H) now, but there is no way to select 0x42 01. Are those bytes gone? 2. Is there a way to get illegal (impossible) abilities on a pokemon? 3. How is "Language" interacting with "Country", "Sub Region" and "3DS Region"? 4. What are "Relearn Moves" and where do they come from? 5. What is the "Encryption Constant" and where does it come from? 6. What happens when I give a Pokemon "Secret Training" medals but don't have secret training enabled on my save file? 7. Where do "Residence" come from and how are they affected? Much Thanks! Best regards
SunWukong Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Relearn moves are the last 4 moves that the pokemon forgot, I believe. If you want to make your pokemon 100% legit you need to select these.
Kaphotics Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 1. PKHeX simplifies it and does everything required. 2. Yes. 3. Language = Language game is played in, the rest are set by the Console. 4. Non level-up moves that can be relearned; ie, event moves or egg moves. 5. Random value, determines characteristic and how the Pokemon is encrypted as data. 6. Nothing, equivalent to having someone else training & trading to you. 7. Residence = past locations in the world it has been, gets updated when traded.
