XY Event - GameStop Charizard (Germany)

Currently GameStop in Germany is distributing serial codes to receive a Charizard with either Charizardite X or Charizardite Y.

They are identical to the ones that were available at GAME stores in the UK recently.

Though the official site says the codes were available since August 25th, the event calender on the Global Link site states September 2nd to September 30th as the distribution period.

Since GameStop stores don't seem to have the codes yet, the PGL probably is more accurate.

However codes will be available as long as stock lasts.

Looks like the official site has been fixed. It says September 2 to 30 now.

Oddly, the official site mentions that the Charizard distributed to X will have a Charizardite X, and the one distributed to Y will have a Charizardite Y. This is the opposite of every other instance of these Charizard distributions, so probably an error (however, it does mean we're going to need to check this one).

Some GameStop stores are already giving away their codes, some won't give them away before tomorrow and some even started giving them away last friday. Well organized as always...

The codes can be redeemed from August 15th 2014 until January 15th 2015 according to the flyers.

September 2nd to September 30th is the time where the codes are available at GameStop stores.

Sorry for my ignorance but how can redeem the codes in August 15th if the GameStop stores distributed the codes from the September 2th?

Those are the dates printed on the flyers.

Some stores already distributed the codes since last friday and people were able to use them immediately. So it's true that the codes were redeemable earlier than September 2nd.

I think they planned to distribute the codes a fee days earlier but then however decided to start at September 2nd.

Officially the codes shouldn't be given out until April 1st. However if you already got a code you can already redeem it.

This was also true for some other serial code distributions.
