Pokémon X & Y - Japanese Pikachu Event

In Japan., a special Pikachu event is being held at the Minato Mirai park called the Pikachu Outbreakchu. Within this specific event, there are loads of Pikachu attractions for people to participate in. One of these is a giveaway of a TCG Promotional card, a promotional Tretta, and the most noteworthy, a download Pikachu will be given. This Pikachu can be downloaded at multiple parts of the park, and has a different nickname depending upon where you downloaded it. It runs from August 9th 2014 to August 17th 2014. We'll bring more details on this event when we can.

Pacifico Yokohama - will only be distributed on the last two days

Yokohama Landmark Tower

Yokohama Cosmo World

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

Royal Wings Cruise's pier

Nihon Maru Memorial Park

You could consider each a separate event since they get different nicknames depending on where you claim it.

To commemmorate Swarming with Pikachu! at Yokohama Minatomirai, Pikachu that know a special move will be given out. Also, at each location, Pikachu with different nicknames will be distributed. To commemorate your visit, why don't you try and catch them all?

That's a translation from this Famitsu article by bluesun. Sounds like you can get all of them on one game.

I should also point out that each Pikachu nickname has a different held item. Currently only the Landmark Pikachu's held item is known, being the Air Balloon (see here).

Also, you can only get one of each Pikachu with each nickname. This means the Captain Pikachu is the same in all three locations.

I wonder where Datel who are based in the UK are getting these events from. Probably keeping a copy of all the saves being uploaded to their servers and scanning them for new wondercards without the owner's knowing or permission. Making money like that is kinda disgusting imho.

Don't they have a branch in Japan? I think so. Otherwise, PowerSaves wouldn't be available here.

They could be working with them to get Wonder Cards.
