DS lite back up (without wifi/FTP)

Hello,

I'm not too great with this stuff but I have managed to backup my .savs through the use of an R4 card + wifi. Is there a way to back up and restore without the use of my wifi (which is not compatible with Gen IV games).

Yes. You can use a slot 2 (GBA) flash cart along with your slot 1 cart (R4 card.) This will only work on non-DSi models since the DSi eliminated slot 2 entirely.

So I'm best getting the EZ 3-1 ?

I want to back up DS games. I find the R4 easy enough to back up my Gen III cartridges.

The EZ Flash 3in1 is a great choice. It allows playing GBA games from the R4 (more games on the same cartridge), backing and restoring saves, and backing up ROMs. For saves, you will either want this tool], or Rudolph's tool (which allows backing up ROMs and saves for older carts).

(Thinking about it makes me nostalgic. If only my DS lite didn't mysteriously disappear.)
