evandixon Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 When testing out save state reading on the latest version of Pokegen, I opened a save state that I quickly made in DeSmuMe 0.9.7 x64, and Pokegen just closed itself. I then noticed that Pokegen wrote a dump file in the active directory. I have uploaded a zip file containing the dump file, the save state, and the save file I loaded in order to make the save state at: http://www.uniquegeeks.net/states.zip I do hope you can get this fixed as this is a promising feature that can prevent pointless posts. "Hypothetical" Guy: HELP I CANT OPEN MY SAVE IN POKEGEN!!!!111 Moderator: Are you loading a .ds1 file? "Hypothetical" Guy: NO!!!!!!111 yes... Moderator: There's your problem Oh, because I was bored, here's a list of threads that should never be repeated if you get this working: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?16263-Please-help-me-i-cant-get-it-to-work-with-(DeSmuMe) http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?13881-Save-Conversion-Desmume-(.dst)-to-No-GBA-(.sav)-and-vice-versa&highlight=save+state
Codr Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 It does work, there are just different save state formats as a result of code changes in Desmume. There are possibly some unknowns (to me) that aren't accounted for as well. Thanks for the report and files, I'm looking at it now. Edit: Fixed for the next release.
pokemon996 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hi i have the latest update of pokegen version 3.1.3 and i have been trying to load a desmune .dst save file of pokemon white 2 but every time i try and load it up it says "unable to determine save state game". Not sure what this means or if i am doing anything wrong so please help. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
evandixon Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 It would probably help Codr if you uploaded the save state and said what version of DeSmuMe you are using.
