Thankfully, there is a time you can play them (aside from random battles where damio gets all the legends and I get Metapods >.>). It's called uber battling... and in there, any Pokemon are allowed. But of course, you would first need to get the consent of your opponent before using ubers. Anyhow, I guess I posted this one so people can learn what uber battling is... I guess. I'm still no good at this though. Rules: Rules: Evasion Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause Pokemon: (In order of appearance) Wraith89 Anonymous Reveal hidden contents v anonymous sent out Kyogre (lvl 100 Kyogre). wraith89 sent out Grace (lvl 100 Latias F). Kyogre's Drizzle caused a storm! Rain began to fall! wraith89 switched in Angelique (lvl 100 Blissey F). Kyogre used Thunder Wave. Angelique is paralysed! It may be unable to move! The rain continues to fall. --- Normally, Latias would destroy Kyogre (even those with Ice Beam), but I'd want to watch out for status, so I switch to Blissey. Fortunately, I was correct. And Kyogre isn't anything Blissey can't handle. v anonymous switched in Blade (lvl 100 Garchomp M). Angelique is paralysed! It can't move! The rain continues to fall. --- And ewww... he switches in Garchomp. Phantom's leftovers restored its health a little! Phantom restored 6% of its health. --- And you call yourself a physical wall? You took 50% from a chomp's Outrage! v Blade used Outrage. It's super effective! Phantom lost 56% of its health. wraith89's Phantom fainted. Blade's rampage ended. Blade became confused! The rain continues to fall. --- Go back to the alternate dimension, you... sigh. Poor Giratina. It's actually not as bad as I made it look people. Believe me, that thing is an awesome physical wall... but I failed with it nonetheless. v wraith89: What the? wraith89 switched in Leviathan (lvl 100 Kyogre). The foe's Blasphemy transformed into the Fighting type! The rain continues to fall. --- And I knew he'd switch out too. Mew used Nasty Plot. Mew's special attack was sharply raised. The rain continues to fall. --- Mew... in ubers. Unpredictable, but whatever. I bring Latias in... and Nasty Plot? o_O v Grace used Calm Mind. Grace's special attack was raised. Grace's special defence was raised. Mew used Ice Beam. It's super effective! Grace lost 38% of its health. The rain continues to fall. --- So Latias is apparently faster and I proceed to Calm Mind. That thing Ice Beams me for a paltry damage of 38%. Soul Dew rocks! v Grace used Calm Mind. Grace's special attack was raised. Grace's special defence was raised. Mew used Nasty Plot. Mew's special attack was sharply raised. The rain continues to fall. --- And Latias Calm Minds and that cat thingy thinks of some naughty things to do in... er... I don't know. What is that cat thinking? v Grace used Calm Mind. Grace's special attack was raised. Grace's special defence was raised. Mew used Ice Beam. It's super effective! Grace lost 29% of its health. The rain continues to fall. --- And more Calm Minds... and Ice Beam only manages 29%! Wow, Latias, you are amazing! v Grace used Recover. Grace restored 50% of its health. Mew used Ice Beam. It's super effective! Grace lost 30% of its health. The rain continues to fall. --- And to anger the other guy off I Recover his endeavors. And that cat Ice Beams again. v Grace used Recover. Grace restored 50% of its health. Mew used Nasty Plot. Mew's special attack was sharply raised. The rain continues to fall. --- Ooh... max Nasty Plots... hmmm... v Grace used Calm Mind. Grace's special attack was raised. Grace's special defence was raised. Mew used Ice Beam. It's super effective! Grace lost 36% of its health. The rain continues to fall. --- I CM again... and 36% damage from Ice Beam. Not bad. v Grace used Calm Mind. Grace's special attack was raised. Grace's special defence was raised. Mew used Ice Beam. It's super effective! Grace lost 27% of its health. The rain continues to fall. --- CM again reduces Ice Beam to 27%. Cool. v Grace used Recover. Grace restored 50% of its health. Mew used Ice Beam. I'm glad I defrosted... and that cat goes bye bye. Folks, this is why you don't go special sweeping with Mew. Mewtwo does the job WAY better. Even when spec'd, Ice Beam does around 41% to a Soul Dew'd Latias. Not even a 2HKO. Latias can threaten back with Thunder or Grass Knot. So... what in the world is she doing in OU? GGfan: Can I battle some of you two FAQ 1) What are uber Pokemon? Basically Pokemon banned from Standards. Usually it is box legends and Pokemon that your friends know are too strong. 2) So what's so different about Uber Battling? ALL Pokemon are allowed (although some people ban Arceus and Mega Rayquaza) Unlike standard metagame, it is more special attack oriented than physical attack oriented. The main dominant weather is Rain, not Sand. Some Pokemon that are unviable in standards (like Shedinja) all of a sudden become useful Pressure is almost omnipresent, so it is much more fast paced Most Pokemon are Psychics or Dragons, so using STAB Psychic is discouraged. Ice, Ghost, Dark, or Dragon moves are more commonly used instead This stuff is all Gen 4. 3) Hold on a second! Why is Garchomp in the ubers list? Because it was too powerful for standards. Observe, it has Swampert's bulk (which Swampert is known for), two weaknesses, commonly carries Yache Berry to ease a potential OHKO on it, is fast, powerful, and after a Swords Dance, it basically 2HKOs any defensive Pokemon in standards. It took at least 2 Pokemon to take it down, and therefore overcentralized the standard metagame. I'm not in COMPLETE agreement with bringing that thing to ubers, but yeah, it's banned. It's not THAT great in ubers, but it somehow works :-/ 4) What about Wynaut/Wobbuffet? High HP + Shadow Tag + Encore + Counter/Mirror Coat = GG (although there are ways to beat this blue lug...) 5) What about Mew? It's like the other base 100 fairies. Mew has a very unpredictable movepool. It's not awesome, but still, that unpredictability can screw up OU badly. 6) And Manaphy? Manaphy is a monster in the rain. Bring that thing to OU and watch rain teams dominate and teams overcentralizing themselves by packing Manaphy counters. 7) So why are you using Blissey and Metagross on Ubers? They're not uber Pokemon! Some Pokemon from standards are viable in ubers. Blissey is obviously viable because of her massive Special Defense and HP. Stuff like Metagross and Tyranitar also work well in Ubers. Of course, they use a different set in ubers than in standards. 8) Why not use Ubers in Standards? If you do that, you're obviously a wimp. Look at their stats. See how large they are compared to the others in standards? That's why... keep your Dialga and Palkia out of OU now! Just because a pokemon functions well in Ubers doesn't make it an Uber. You know that Shedinja can actually sweep a team of ubers if set up properly, since it resists almost every move you'll see? That doesn't mean it should be ubers. Without Soul Dew, Latias has no lasting impact on the OU metagame to the point where you HAVE to have a counter for it. Latias is like Scizor. You can complain and complain about it, but at the end, you have to realize that Scizor is the best revenge killer in OU and since almost every team has a revenge killer, Scizor becomes omniprescent. Latias has the potential to be an amazing sweeper, no matter how you use her, but she has plenty of counters and isn't flawless.

I know what you mean Illithian... but Latias in OU is just... annoying. She's faster and somehow bulker than Garchomp. Sure, she doesn't get a 2x modifier like Garchomp, but still... I just don't like seeing her everywhere :-/ Nobody is flawless... but I just don't like her in OU. Personal opinion, but it doesn't mean what I'm saying is fact X_X

I fixed it (I make tons of mistakes X_X) Any comments on the battle?
