Ryan777
I've been working on a Soul Silver edit, and everything's gone well so far, except when I started to play through it, the rival doesn't have the right Pokemon that he should. I've only tested the first battle with him, and every time, he ends up having Chikorita on his team. Now some info about what I'm doing: The starters are changed so the choices are Dratini, Bagon, and Gible. If you choose: Dratini- Rival has Cyndaquil Bagon- Rival has Totodile Gible- Rival has Chikorita Can someone please help by telling me why the rival is only using Chikorita? Thank you. Kaphotics
because it probably depends on a pokedex #, if that Pokedex # wasnt first obtains it goes to the default (1st starter = chickorita) you have to edit the trainer itself
Drayano
There's something in the script for each place he appears. I can't remember exactly what it is but it's like, XXXXX 152, then XXXXXXXX and the same for 155, and I don't think there's one for Totodile. You need to change those numbers to match the numbers of the starters.
Ryan777
Yeah, I found it. Thanks:) Oh, but I have one more question! So I inserted a bunch of Pokemon that you need to interact with to battle, some of which included the starters. For some reason though, whenever I battle a starter it ends up being female, which seems unlikely since the male:female ratio is 85:15%. Is there something in the script that I should be changing in each location? This is what I'm using: Faceplayer Cryfr (Nat Dex #) 0 Message # Waitcry CloseMsgOnKeyPress WildBattle2 (Nat Dex #) (Level) (0-non shiny, 256-shiny) Removepeople (Event #) End
Drayano
As far as I'm aware there's nothing in the script that can affect genders... so, no idea D:
Ryan777
Well, if it's not in the script, where would I possibly edit the genders of individual Pokemon? I know it would probably be through the Pokemon option in PPRE. So what I did was clicked Pokemon/Data, then there's a dropdown box under "Gender Threshold" and it seems like 100% Male=0 100% Female=254 Genderless=255 Should I just look into others that normally have a 85:15 ratio and change the starters to that value? Drayano
If the starters somehow became 100% female then yes, I'd do that. There's stuff like Eevee, Omanyte and that that should suffice.
Matt the Pokemaniac
Try editing the value so that the starters only appear as male.
