Shress Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Hi there! I just came fresh from Gen 4 and, now that I just got Black version, realized that the PID/IV process is a tad different. I've heard its a bit easier to generate PIDs, but I've had no luck on PokeGen. Anyhow, at the moment, I'll request a shiny Jellicent that can pass as legal. Reveal hidden contents Pokemon: Jellicent Held Item: Leftovers Level: 100 Ability: Cursed Body Nickname (If wanted): Original Trainer (Trainer Name/OT): Ben/Ben Trainer Gender (If specific): Male Trainer ID (If specific): 49381 Secret ID (If specific): 53236 Pokemon Gender (If specific): Male Shiny (Yes or No): Yes Egg (Yes or No): No Nature: Bold Attacks: Surf, Recover, Will-o-Wisp, Taunt PP (max or normal): max Pokérus Status: No Status Pokéball Captured In: Premier Ball Battle Stats: IV Stats: 31 HP, 31 Def, 31 Speed, anything goes for the rest EV Stats: 248 HP, 216 Def, 44 Speed Ribbons (If any): Location/Date Met: P2 Laboratory / April 09, 2011 Level Met At: 14 Location/Date Hatched (If an Egg): Happiness: Max Contest Stats: Party slot 1-6 or Storage box 1-18, slot 1-30 (required for AR code): Party Slot 6 For what game (required for AR code): Black Friend Code (required for Trading): Please post as a .pkm file. Thanks so much! Hopefully it won't be too much of a bother, especially with the legality part.
jasterj Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Give this a try and see if it works for you. Edit: Recover is an egg move so it has to appear as hatched.
Shress Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 Um, sorry, Recover is also a level-up move that may be learned at level 17 by both Jellicent and Frillish. May you create one that is not an egg Pokemon? Sorry, I want a Pokemon that meet my requirements. I hope I don't cause too much frustration by my nick-pickiness!
jasterj Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 lol I guess you're right I Ctrl+F and got the egg version first.Im the same way when it comes to my pokemanz. Here is the fixed pokemon.

Shress Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 Thank you so much! How did you manage to, btw, create a legal Pokemon like that so fast? In Gen 4, I remember I had to ask people with quad-core processors to generate the PIDs to match my specifications.

In PokeGen if you leave the PID blank it will put the appropriate PID in place for you but that is only for Gen V. If you want to make a pokemon "Poketransferred" then you still need to find the PID the old way.

How do you make sure it's legal, then?
jasterj Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I belive it is still talking about Gen IV PIDs because Gen IV was super picky when it came to PIDs. PID in Gen V only pertains to Shiny/Nature/Ability now and no longer IVs.
Shress Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 Oh okay! Is there any way to check a .pkm file through legality/legimacy of a Gen V Pokemon now? Has the Legality Checker been updated for Gen V?
jasterj Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 It has not and I dont belive that it will be. I think its only being updated for the Missing Gen IV events and such. As for legality purposes trial and error? lol
