73INVC
so today i tried out this whole thing with my pokemon platinum -i created a chomp with pokesav and saved it as .pkm file -i dragndropped it ontothe python file sendpkm and it tells me to change my dns to 192.168.1.100, what i did -testconnection was positive and i went to the GTS while having the sendpkm-window still opened -it connects to nintendo wfc but instead of entering the fake-GTS generates by my computer, i enter the REAL GTS i tried the same with HyperGTS but still get the same results if anyone has some advice for me or if anyone has experienced the same problem, i'd like to get some help
pepperr
Turn off your Windows firewall(Control Panel ->Windows FW). I had the same problem. No need to uninstall Antivirus software. Sit within good range of the router, sometimes it gets dropped(and the computer too).

73INVC
If you are tired of virus you can install linux ubuntu and install general software like office, nero, adobe reader and so on and how exactly does that help me with connecting to the fake GTS? hedgeberg
try looking into HGTS or IR-GTS. also, are you running skype or any other program that uses the web? because often times they use port 80, which all the programs need.
Kaphotics
Enter the address sendpkm.py gives you as the Primary and Secondary DNS. You won't connect to Nintendo, you'd only attempt to connect to yourself. If you can't connect to the GTS, it's a problem on your end
73INVC
repeating: I have no problem connecting to the gts and there are NO error codes popping up at all! my problem is that i'm doing evrything just like it says in the tutorials but I still enter the REAL GTS instead of the Fake-GTS
millej
Do you have any other wifi connection profiles? This was happening to me and I realized that it was because my DSi was defaulting to the other profile that didn't have the adjusted DNS instead of the correct one. Kind of a small thing to overlook, but by deleting the other profiles, I got it to work.

73INVC
i just tried to connect with the fake-gts of another server and it worked. so i think the ip-adress i get from hyper-gts/sendpkm is wrong and some other program is blocking it or something. while my windows firewall was active i got the ip-adress 000.000.000.000 and after i deactivated it i got 192.168.x.x but that doesn't seem to be right either. i also have my norton internet security firewall on but deactivating that didn't change the ip given from hyper-gts/sendpkm. any advice?
