STUD Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Something that I have noticed is, when trying to create Pokemon that are not "from" the Dream World but have been "bred" with a Dream World ability, upon evolving will not keep their Dream World ability. The evolving Pokemon defaults back to the original PID ability (just like if I gave it an ability its not supposed to have). I havent seen anything discussed about the flag for the DW abilities for quite some time, but last I read it was hidden well? Im wondering if there will be a check box or some sort of update that would allow the Dream World ability to stay? Or if its a PID issue then, maybe a search function to allow only DW ability PIDs? I know an update was just released and I looked through the changes and nothing was mentioned of this so I thought itd be good to bring attention to it.
Kaphotics Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Either ability will get overriden, 0x42 = 01 is just a flag to have the DW ability rather than the PID based one.
STUD Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 How would I input that into the export code though? Im using an action replay and a DSi. Is there a way to flag it in PokeGen?
STUD Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Ok I see what youre saying with the extra bytes, and I have double checked my files and they all have 0X42 selected. Am I supposed to put a 1 or =1 in the open box next to the byte selection?
Acanto Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Write "01" in the box next to 0x42. The '=' just means that the value should be equal to 1.
