wraith89
That girl in Snowpoint City wanted my Medicham for a Haunter... so I was like yay! This Haunter will become a Gengar... afraid not. Guess what? That Haunter was holding an Everstone! And she goes, teehee, whoops, it's carrying an Everstone! RAWR!! I want a Gengar
Fallen
That's messed up. I hate when they plan stuff like that in the game..
wraith89
I remember in Yellow you could get a Machamp by trading a Cubone to that kid in the entrance at the Underground Path at Route 5. But now that things hold items... that's smart @_@

wraith89
Yeah, that girl just wants her Medicham... while you get a Haunter you could get almost anywhere in this game. I have a Timid Haunter with 31 speed IVs that I'm definitely training for competitive battle... but not from this girl. She gave me one with Gentle nature... which is not a good nature for anything. The two natures you want to avoid are Gentle and Lax.
Fallen
Just like them. They stiff you on getting a Gengar and then you get a bad nature.
wraith89
I'm going to check what the Haunter's IVs are. But at any rate people... if you don't need an Everstone or an extra Haunter or like your Medicham, DO NOT trade your Medicham for Haunter. randomspot555
But an Everstone is useful for breeding.
wraith89
But an Everstone is useful for breeding. I guess that's her only merit... or else I'd spend countless hours trying to catch a Geodude with an Everstone...
Fallen
It's pointless for a Haunter to have one though. Oh well, if you want a Gengar I'll trade with you.

We also have a Trade Evolution thread in the Wi-Fi trading forum.[/ends pimping his thread] (it's also useful because it explains a game mechanic). wraith89
That would be sweet... until my Wifi begins working. Funny thing is, you can dongle Gengar in Old Chateau. I need a lot of Pokemon that need to evolve via trading, but I need to get my Wifi working first (can't wait to play Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon online too ) But still, did that girl really have to put Haunter? If it were something else like a Glalie or something, I wouldn't mind, but a Haunter to rub it in the person's face to say "ha ha you ALMOST got Gengar but you didn't!" @_@ Edited May 3, 2009 by wraith89
Fallen
I know. And especially after the trade. It's like a slap to the face doing stuff like that.

wraith89
If my Wifi was working I would. So basically I dump in something for something inaccessible? All right, if I get it to work... (Graveler for Arceus )
