I have some question regarding to this file as well as wc6 and wc7 serial code event pokemon difference

In wc6 file, my testing target is 20 anniversary mew(this one), I obtain it with the first met time and wonder card time equal to my windows's time(not 3ds time)

In wc7 file, my testing target is Tapu koko, it has a fixed wonder card time (2017.3.17) and first met time is equal to my 3ds time

In wc7 it is legit that you received your wonder card in the distribution period, and then you obtain it later and it show the first met date as the date you receive it(3ds) time. So no matter when and how you import the event, at least it looks every legit

However, in wc6, since it is based on windows time, I just guess here, is it the time that you input the serial code? I see in the above picture that the code is input in 3DS menu, I guess it will connect to their server as there is a valid date in first magazine picture! it is valid util 31-3-2017

This comes into a problem, for example, if I use pokeHex to import event mew by today 3-7-2017, I will have a event mew with first met date as 3-7-2017 and this date is not legit since normally you can only claim the code before 31-3-2017 and have the same met date before 31-3-2017
Is all my thinking correct? or if so I guess we have to add caution here for those serial code event.

The only way to use this file is to set your windows time in a valid period if that is the truth

(A little out of topic)

I also have some testing on gen6 wireless distributed Shiny Rayquaza, and it has fixed wonder card time and date met so the above should only be applied to serial code distribution

Gen 7 isn't a problem, as
Pokemon met date =/= wonder card date.

Gen 6 Pokemon met date is locked to wonder card date.

however from my experience, the wonder card date is set according to the 3DS, when it's received.

That is the first thing I tried.  I set my 3DS clock before and it is useless

To make sure it is really based on windows' time, I just do the test again. I am afraid that I had some steps wrong :)

I just change my windows's time to 10/01/2014, and the wonder card has this date!!!! as well as the met date is from 2014!!!

Actually, if the met time is after 31-3-2017, it can still be legit. It really depends how this time was set in the real event

If it is set based on the 3ds time, then any met time is valid, because 3ds time can be changed to whatever you like.

If it is set to the server's time, then the met date must have a valid period that we need to follow

But we cannot test this anymore...

honestly, date of the event doesn't truly matter.

For Gen 6, All the serial code events I grabbed, wonder card date followed 3ds, not server.

while I never actively tested for local wireless, pretty sure someone confirmed that wonder card date followed 3ds too.

if it bums you out, use PKHeX to change it.

if it frankly was an issue, it would have surfaced when the events were running, as people would have noticed.

we don't need to have this discussion pop up every 6 months :)
