About This File

The first publicly available hack for Pokemon Battle Revolution, apparantly! (???)

This hack modifies the stats and typing of Pokemon and moves to match up with those found in Pokemon Renegade Platinum, in the hopes of creating a cool way to do battles between players of that game. Documentation is included, with a step-by-step guide on how to import from your Renegade Platinum save via PKHeX.

Comes as a .xdelta patch - use xdelta patcher to apply it to an unmodified US rom. Move names and descriptions are only updated in english as of right now.

- Edited readme file to be less of a nightmare. That hex editing guide was a waste of time, you can just use the placeholder save I made, it's fine.

Having some issues when patching. Getting an error reading "cannot recompress output: unrecognised external compression ID: <long string of characters>

Same issue for me. I couldn’t patch it.

I was wondering, would it be a ridiculous idea to patch out the international censorship, while you're at it? It should be a simple case of model swapping between japanese and american version.

Details:

Another thing: I remember that originally, some of the GBA trainers like Leaf were shown off in the initial gameplay reveals, models taken straight from CL/GoD. I wonder if it would be possible to import these models so they can be used by the player, even if they would be replacing other models, a workaround could be found later

Might be an MD5 issue - or that you didn't uncompress the ISO from WBFS or nkit. The new version has the correct MD5 hash listed in the readme.

Those would both be interesting! I'm not certain of my model replacement skills, and not particularly bothered about the international censorship, but at some point in the future I might give the trainer model replacement a look.

This was an issue with the hack itself! You were all correct, and I was a fool. An overwhelmed, extremely busy fool, but a fool.

1.2 has finally fixed this stupid issue that's been eating at me for the last several months. More patches are coming. I'm not done with this quite yet...

For some reason the patch still won't work correctly when applying it to the rom.

Are you applying it to a clean ISO file, with the DATA and UPDATE partitions attached?
