If you use DeSmuME go to file>export backup memory, and then you edit that save with PKHeX. After that you go to file>import bakcup memory and you choose the file that you recently edited.

Remember that the .nds and the .sav file need to have the same name except after the "." .

I just installed homebrew following the site's instructions step by step in my 3DS.

I am playing my pokemon black cartridge. I loaded checkpoint and managed to create a backup file.

I loaded this file in my pc and opened it in PKHex.

I started messing with pokemon and added a bunch of event pokemon to my boxes. Notice that I'm using a cell phone to edit the contents of my SD card since I have no adapter.

I saved the file in the main folder where the backup was created inside the checkpoint folder.

Took the SD out and inserted in the 3DS again. Loaded Checkpoint. I try to restore the file I just created and get the following error:

Error 0xC8804478 Failed to read save file backup.

When I run the game the save file is unchanged and uncorrupted.

 

I have tried renaming the save file to "main", creating new folders in the Checkpoint directory, erasing the working backup file and replacing it with the PKHex file. But nothing seems to be working. Maybe I overlooked something simple that is preventing me from loading my save in checkpoint?

It happened the same to me before, try to re-do it and analyze yourself. In mycase, the mistake was that I was editing a Mario Kart 7 instead of Pokemon Sun, and after that, it worked.

Hello, me and my friends started recently to play Pokemon White and Black to feel the nostalgia, but now that we finished the game we want to make some casual fights. Does anyone knows how to do it with DeSmuME?

As Kaphotics says, you just need to edit the Pokerus/Infected value.

Hello! I have Pokemon Shield but I would like to know which are the differences. I know that in each version there are some exclusive Pokemons like Tyranitar. But, any other difference?

You can try to change the cords to a place like your house. If that doesn´t work make a backup of your save, then copy all your Pokemons with PKHeX, then start a new file an add all your Pokemons to your PC. You'll lose all your progress but you can still have your Pokemons, that happened to me in Platinum.

 You can do it with PKHeX, this will not activate the event but you can get the Pokemon, here is in its shiny form and in its normal form.

Yes, it is easy, you just edit the egg and add the item, but the pokemon is considered ilegal.
