Is it possible you have some rom hack in layeredfs? Tho that wouldn’t thoroughly explain why you can’t use injected saves but able to use native saves.

try another homebrew, use checkpoint instead. If there’s still issues, then you probably need to raise an issue at luma’s GitHub.

also make sure your SD card isn’t write-locked.

hi, been awhile. just reformatted my SD again, reinstalled my cfw and homebrew, and tried checkpoint. same error. :/

I’m confused, your save works for me.

Here’s a few things you can do:
    1. Make sure your JKSM/JKSV is updated
    2. Make sure your CFW on your 3DS is updated (preferably use luma)
    3. Keep a safe copy of the JKSV folder on your Desktop, but don't have it on your SD. (Allow JKSM to start the folder backups anew)
    4. Create a copy of such a folder, when wanting to do imports.

Test it and let me know.

That’s so odd, I did all that you suggested and I’m still getting the same situation from before. Do you think it’s because I’m running 1.0 of Sun? I could also try checkpoint and see if that method changes anything

can you take a screenshot of the insides of the folder (on your computer) of where you placed the save into?

  4. hi! im new to this whole thing so please bare with me. i downloaded a sun save and edited it a bit and put it on my cfw 2ds. i start up my copy of sun and it boots up fine. then i press start then my save in game and it crashes, showing the "an exception occurred" screen. this has happened everytime i've tried using a custom save from pkhex regardless of game. i have no idea where to begin to fix this, pls help :)

i should note im using a physical copy of sun. using edited saves on digital copies of games also gives the same crash/ error

  5. @pkman99 got it working! I tried an older version of winebottler and it started working for me :) now im having other issues but hey at least pkhax works now. thanks

  6. @pkman99 yeah i'm at a total loss too lmao. I deleted and redownloaded all the PKHeX files once again and tried the terminal method again. Got another non-ui fatal error. I have all the winetricks installed on the 64 and 32 directories and neither are working. been scouring the forums for any leads all day. really frustrating

have you updated to Catalina? if so then you can’t open PkHex anymore. i heard it was something with apple removing a certain feature that the mac version had.

im running El Capitan (10.11.6) and it's my first time ever trying to open Pk Hex/ figuring this stuff out

  9. this may be a dumb question, but i downloaded the pk hex for mac file since i already have wine/ wine bottler installed previously  (and it has worked for me before) and for some reason when i click on the pk hex app icon nothing happens at all? do i need something else installed or..? any and all help would be much appreciated tyvm!
