Pokémon Black and White (U/E) Action Replay Codes

I have a question about the following IV modifying codes. Do they make my [hatched] Pokemon illegal in that they make the way the PID or characteristic were generated? I saw something about not using them all at once. Why would that matter/What would doing them all at once do?
