  1. No, they were distributed in all EU countries: http://www.pokemonsecure.com/events/geniii/pokedex.php?id=263

I'm not contesting that, I'm saying that every country outside Japan got the English one, regardless of what the language of that country happens to be.

I doubt that, http://serebii.net/events/dex/263.shtml serebii has a german one, too, and I've seen a French one in a trade topic on pokemongts, serebii might have forgotten the French one. The others just have differences in the country data (which cant be seen ingame), because their names are the same in Italian, Spanish and English.

Where do you think Serebii gets his information? As for the GTS... Yeah, there's never been a hack on there...

    Legal.exe's readme says:

Two different types for it are possible - "valid USA/Japan Zigzaggon", or "Unknown GBA Type", why should it be like that if there are no others?

Because Sabresite forgot to remove them from the "unknown" list when he added checks for their specific algorithm. Trust me, I know Sabre very well and he was chatting with me when he added those checks.

or you can contact Nintendo for ask?

Sadly I don't think this has ever worked. For anything.

  2. I figured it out. Thanks to you!

Ok, what you do is decompress the ARM9 file with crystaltile. See, I had a theory that the palettes were programmed like mostly every other data set in the rom. Just in order of use. I opened the extracted ARM9 bin with a hex editor, and searched for 01 01 01 00 00 00 00 02 02. This is the palettes used for Bulbasaur-Blastoise, respectively. 00 refers to the first palette, and so on. It found one matching data string (this is when I got excited). Then I replaced the first three numbers with 00 01 02, just to test it out. Sure enough, when I put it back into the rom, Bulbasaur was yellow, and Venusaur was blue. I haven't tested it further. I literally just did this a few seconds ago. So if need be, I can elaborate. But it most definitely works! :D

Hey nice work! Really good to know. Didn't think my comment would actually be helpful to anyone.

In game is just have 2 pallete for every pokemon (normal and shiny, so 1 is for normal, and 2 is for shiny ? o.oa)

He's not talking about the full-size sprites, he's talking about the tiny icons that show up in boxes and your party, etc. They're unusual because every single pokemon icon uses one of only 3 available palettes.

  3. So why isn't the save file being shared? :S are we sure the save isn't just BS? I mean, really I could download every Mew I can find on this site and others that is from that event, chuck them into a file and put it on the cartridge. Screenshots of the game prove nothing, what colour is the cart? When I received an event Pokemon from Gamestation, the cart was black and security sealed into the GBA SP they were using to distribute it. Just seems phony to me.

    It's not.

The people who needed to see this have seen it.

  4. didn't the 360 only become so cheap because they took off a lot that originally came with the console?

I have an older 360 and my friend has a newer (black) one. If anything mine is the one lacking. Built-in wifi and optical audio out are two of the standout differences.

  5. And finally, I have started experimenting with what might become the first save backup tool working on the DSi - once I got everything worked out, you *might* be able to run the program as a download play game, very similar to the transfer machine in B/W. (Don't count on it, though. There is still a myriad of difficulties to overcome, including getting a download play server running at all.)

Is there a way to bypass the RSA signature check on the DSi? Because I don't think I've heard of one.

  6. I forget the exact location but fonts in this gen are stored in the more standard Nitro format for fonts. Look for a NFTR (rftn) extension. There's a very good editor/viewer for them here but unfortunately there seems to be something slightly different about BW's NFTR files so they don't load.

  7. Can you dumb that down alot lol

    im new to NDS hacking

That is a ton of very helpful information he gave there. Your comment on the other hand is basically a kick in the balls in exchange for his hard work. Have some respect for peoples time and effort; rather than asking them to spoon-feed you take some time and learn from what's already available. If you're new to ROM hacking that's great, but if you don't understand this then this isn't the place to start.

  8. It'd be like creating and running a Private Server for those MMORPG games, it'd be super hard to get the internal files and keep up to date. It just wouldn't be worth it, considering we can inject any Pokemon we wish into the Entralink Forest.

I need to play more because I don't even know that the Entralink forest is. Anyway I thought the same thing about the GTS before all that happened. Turned out a stripped down version (does anybody have servers that function like the actual GTS with the ability to upload and search many pokemon?) wasn't that out of the question.

As far as the game is concerned it's pretty simple right? Upload pokemon, get back pokemon and/or items? The rest is all done on the server through a web interface so for that part we could have almost unlimited freedom.

  9. Well i found a program that send the cards to each other but need to dses
made in 2009 :P I think you guys know it already.. But you guys can see how its structered and stuff..

All this actually does is modify a distribution ROM; you still need a flashcard.

If the issue is hardware capable of performing Ni-Fi stuff, would there be any chance at creating a Wii Homebrew application for this?

I looked into this and I was told that in its current state wii homebrew isn't capable of NiFi. Maybe in the future, but don't get your hopes up.

  10. The 3 in 1 restore feature still doesnt work for me, I'm on the 256 v1.

And would anyone mind uploading their save cause I dumped mine with the 3in1 and it corrupted my save and now I cant restore because of the corruption. Not to be picky but I'd prefer the save not have beaten all 16 gyms yet or if it has-be only just after beating the 16th gym.

What flashcard are you using? How exactly did it fail?

If the restore feature is all that doesn't work for you why do you need a new save file? The file you got from the original dump should be fine. You can always play it on your flashcard.

  11. kaphotics, that's wrong.

There are two ways to send Wondercards to retail copies of games.

Use an edited distribution rom, or edit a Wondercard to make it shareable.

scarecrow, just so you know, savesender/receiver cannot backup HG/SS save files.

If you have a flashcard all that is is extra work. I'm pretty sure intent of the OP was to distribute without a flashcard (at least before he went and bought one).
