After completing my second playthrough, I can safely express my opinion on the changes you've made without thinking I missed something.
I love the fairy type addition along with the type effectiveness update. Makes me feel more at home coming from ORAS to this. I didn't mind that some pokemon were given fairy type since without the additions you made, the only canonical fairies are few and far between.
The learnsets of pokemon in general feels a tad unbalanced, but since the last patch, it's less overwhelming. Now the TM's were actually incredibly helpful this time around. My first playthrough rarely saw me using TM's as the level moves were just so much better.
The shadow pokemon felt really well thought out. ie; Stone evos in Phenac. and 100 Shadow pokemon seems perfect. It's a nice even number and gives you access to anything you'd want without too much exclusion (plus every legendary, yay). I feel like Mirror B. was a tad difficult though the last time you face him. His Shadow Ho-oh on top of his rain team was absolutely savage. But since it's the last shadow mon, i appreciated the challenge. Oh, and Bonsly was the cherry on top. Nothing like playing a gen 3 game with a gen 4 mon
The Text changes were good. The ones you did change anyway. Lovrina/Sylvia cracked me up. #SavageAF
And finally, the post-game. Mt. Battle was a slog as it usually is, but the Type themed sections kept it fresh until the end. Completing it 3 times was definitely a trial, but I had to get each and every reward that was offered. Orre Colosseum was admittedly something I didn't dabble in as often as most. I played through it a few times to reface the admins but that was about it.
Overall, The changes made really enhance the game as a whole. I enjoyed every bit of both of my playthroughs. I look forward to what you do next so i can maybe do a third

I'm not sure how possible this is, but is it possible to make the massage animation shorter? I find Vivid Scents to be the most effective way to purify weaker pokemon since one scent can drop almost a bar. But the animation takes so long with all the menus as well. So is it possible to even just cut the controller vibration?

I may or may not have played the second time through with a trainer snagging code to avoid said salty shinies. I know. I'm a horrible person.

It took a while because I had to progress in my save file to find a new shadow pokemon but I managed to get a two of them to show up with mirror b. I think especially since you didn't get the message that it fled maybe you had started the save file on a previous verison? Either that or I made a mistake on just carvanha.
Edit: In fact I didn't even start a completely new save. I probably just missed something on carvanha or you just needed to give it more time. I'll check to confirm
Edit2: Knocked out carvanha and Mirror B caught it! Looks like everything works after all
I re-patched it, and everything was fine after that. Sorry for worrying you. Must've been a patching error

Ultimately just went back to my save before the battle to attempt the snag again. It's a good thing I save before every shadow encounter

The pokespot appearance can have up to 2 shadow pokemon (colosseums only have one each) so it doesn't seem likely although not impossible. I'll add it as a known bug for now but do let me know. Cheers.
I don't think he will appear. I specifically remember I didn't get the "x has fled somewhere" message for Carvanha. But i just brushed it off as a glitch having to do with added shadows

That's great news. I'm glad at least that works as intended. I'll have to look further into the shadow pokemon thing. Worst case I may have to do a bunch of scripting to allow rematches for the shadow pokemon until you get them. I'm sure there's just something obvious I'm missing though so we'll see.
I'm still waiting for him to reappear with carvanha. I'll let you know when/if he appears

That's really cool. I haven't heard of anyone else finishing Mt.Battle in XG yet. Not even I have =D. Our avatar choices were really similar! In fact even the teams in the orre final have similar compositions!
Since you reached the top of Mt.Battle, can you confirm whether or not you were offered one of the prize pokemon? I tried to make it so you don't have to do all 100 zones in a row to get the prizes but I haven't been able to test it yet.
I've completed Mt. Battle before. He does indeed give you a pokemon. Even if you don't complete it in one run. I took multiple breaks and still got
XG001
. Also, as for Sneasel/Carvanha, I encountered Mirror B. at the Cave Pokespot with just Sneasel and 2 ludicolo

Shadow Bully's animation doesn't seem to be functioning properly.
I don't know if it's just me either, but Agate isn't selling Poke Balls after Mt. Battle like it should be.
It's not just you. I wasn't able to buy pokeballs anywhere until I was able to buy great balls after ONBS

Does Mirror B. get the new shadow mons as well? I failed to snag the Shadow Carvanha/Sneasel at the ONBS building and Mirror B. appeared only once and only had Sneasel

What's the difference between Robo Kyogre/Groudon and Regular Kyogre/Groudon? I picked XG001 as my first reward and love the idea of a trainable shadow lugia. And it was cool to fight you at the top

I noticed from the list of available pokes that
Mew and Regice/Rock aren't available. I found it odd considering the battle with the admin that has ice/rock is where you catch registeel. Did you just run out of slots to place these three pokemon? Or are they just unavailable for other reasons?

Was having some pokes obtainable multiple times intentional? Like;
Bagon and Salamence, Pupitar and T-tar, and Beldum and Metagross

Oh yeah, on the note of trace now that it's supposed to be removed, I found a Porygon2 in Realgam Colosseum that had trace in case you needed to know this information

Just caught a certain fiery puppy. The game is fantastic so far though. Can't figure out how many encounters are at Pokespots though, I seem to find nothing but Pupitar and Trapinch at the Rock one.

Yeah I removed trace from the game as a result. Did you get trace in game or through some alternate means?
changed my Ralts' Ability to Trace. No idea you removed the functionality though. I'll change it back to Synchronize

This is probably an inconsequential bug, but the new abilities don't seem to work after being traced. I traced huge power and was hitting just as hard as before

I wanna see if it's a noticable difference. They had really dumb names so I wanna see how bad they are in contrast to regular old names

With this coming out soon, and the Sun and Moon info we just, it's feeling pretty good to be a pokemon fan right now

One last question, if I may. You said bonsly was going to be fully usable right? Does that also include evolution? Or is it just too hardcoded for Bonsly not to evolve to Sudowoodo?

Not sure if this constitutes spoiler warnings but with all the pokemon being changed, when it comes time to purify Shadow lugia, will the type variety be enough to fill all the chambers in the purification chamber?

This sounds like what i've been waiting for forever. Nintendo doesn't seem to be releasing a new shadow pokemon game anytime soon so i cant wait to play this.
I know the feeling. Don't know why Shadow pokemon were dead in the water after . Unless you count Shadow Mewtwo in Pokken. But this hack will at least build interest in the shadow pokemon genre again
