  1. As of commit 1782827, the Rosalina menu hotkey has been fixed and the devs themselves said they won't make it optional as stated on the Luma github: "This feature was rejected because several key features and programs now rely on Rosalina to function properly, namely, the Homebrew Menu."

I've safely disabled it by doing the following steps:

    1. Put the boot.firm of the commit mentioned above or a higher version/stable on your SD Card's root and CTRNAND via GodMode9 or FBI

    2. Put your SD Card back in your 3DS and set up your Luma settings if it boots you to the menu

    3. Press the default hotkey combo (in this case L+D-Pad down+Select) then go to "Miscellaneous Options" and "Save Settings"

    4. Power off your 3DS and put the SD Card back into your computer

    5. Download any Hex Editor (such as HxD) if you don't have one and start it.

    6. In the hex editing program click File then Open and navigate to SD:/luma/config.bin and open the file

    7. Go to offset 1D and edit the byte to FF as shown in this image here:

    8. File>Save or just simply Ctrl+S!

Done! You can now move the newly changed config.bin to your 3DS SYSNAND via GodMode9 or FBI under CTRNAND/rw/luma and won't be able to boot Rosalina anymore unless you change the byte again or you delete the config file.

I needed to disable this for young kids I'm setting this up for next week and this is currently the only way I can confirm works. It won't "hide" your usage of CFW like the Kecleon3DS patch did since there's no way to disable the Luma boot menu that I know of. But hopefully someone can make something like that again, would be nice for the reason I've stated. :)

The dates in my link and your link to the commit correlate.

Maybe try to compile it instead?  You’re using the lumaupdater v2.1.1 for the hourlys?

    https://github.com/KunoichiZ/lumaupdate/releases/tag/v2.1.2

Nah, I honestly never used lumaupdater and this is my first time using the builds just for this issue.

Are you or anyone else here able to get it to save and if so what commit are you using? Mine is a16d1eb.

  3. Weren't people able to bypass it by using a new game's sync id on their banned one? I know people on GBATemp and reddit said that worked for them. But then you'd lose all your PGL data such as Golbal Missions etc.

Haven't been playing the games as much now so I really dunno.

  4. So did the people who registered for the competitions that used PKHeX get banned only or those who also only just registered their game sync id on the PGL that use PKHeX? I know I haven't done any of the competitions aside for Global Missions and am still intact on my main save.

I'm also testing a new registered game save that I put all legal items and dex 'mons on to see if it holds on (Not registering it for the competition).

I got banned. The only hacking I've done was giving myself certain balls, bottle caps, rare candies, and a handful of mega stones. I don't have anything impossible to obtain legitimately. A friend of mine who is much more reckless with his hacking has not been banned, I suspect the reason why I got banned and he didn't is because I've gone onto Battle Spot. Honestly, this wouldn't really bother me, except that since I can't Game Sync anymore, I can't unlock my battle box that I used in the most recent competition.

What megastones and balls did you give yourself?

  6. Ok for real, the more suspicious edits I made to my save were modifying my TID+SID combination to match my previous 6-digit in-game one under the Trainer Info tab, made Pokemon such as Wonder Guard Xurkitree w/ Air Balloon in PKHaX that I only use offline namely Battle Royal and Battle Tree, giving myself x999 of legal items, 99999 FC, 9999 BP and I didn't get banned when I synced recently. I mainly think it's due to having unreleased Pokemon in the Dex and Items as well as modifying relevant player details used such as Player Name, Skin Tone, Gender or a G7TID other than the one you used to register with. As for the Global Missions, I think the scores are in their own separate tabs.

If anyone wants to hack in an unreleased Pokemon in their game such as Marshadow or Shiny Zygarde to use offline or anything that abides by the sites policy then to avoid it being registered into your PokeDex by PKHeX just goto

    Options->Set to SAV->Untick "Modify Pokedex"

I've made codes for legal data for those who know hex editing in my research thread as well as what Key Items (don't advise touching those) and Z-Crystals are legal until PKHeX can add legal payloads for items and the dex.

  7. So a ban wave reportedly took place in late January and now recently late March so I guess the next one will be late May judging from the 2 month pattern?

Btw I just tried game syncing my main game to PGL which I haven't done so for the past month now only to find out I was banned. :( Guess I shouldn't have edited in x999 Beast Balls, Apricorn Balls and Mega Stones.

  8. Wow like a 1,500+ increase...o_o

I'm assuming that the people who were banned were also using stat modding NTR such cheats online, those people deserve to be banned if so. However, some people are reporting to have been banned even though they didn't use PKHeX or anything of the sort, they could be trolling or maybe it did happen, a counter argument is when PKHeX came out for SuMo people were reporting that the game freezes upon continuing, turns out that it was because they used PKHeX which at the time messed up player map coordinates and they didn't want to admit it.

All i can say is don't change your IGN, skin tone, gender or ID (I changed my ID+SID combination to match my previous 6-digit TID and it's still working although I still don't recommended it).

    Use common sense, people.

What I'm scared of now though is that I installed A9LH for my cousin's O3DS back in February and I don't know if she'll be banned considering she's still on an older Luma version. Should I still tell her to go online even though she hasn't had the time to play it for the past weeks?

Update: She texted me and said she can connect to the internet. :)

Also, I have every option on the latest Luma to off and Clock+L2 on my N3DS. I also did the same for hers but without the Clock+L2 option if that helps, if anyone wants to share their CFW configurations.

  10. One of my friends got B9S and has "Send data to Nintendo" on. He uses apps like CIAngel, JKSV, HBL and FBI but hasn't been banned. So I don't think tickets are the cause, or maybe it's just luck he dodged the hammer.

I would suggest not to put a Homebrew app as your favorite title in Friend's List or maybe turn off wireless when accessing those kinds of apps.

I also heard some people that got it saying the ban lifted for them, but I dunno if they're lying or not considering it's supposed to be permanent.

  11. Ok, after turning on my 3DS I'm not banned and made my way to turn off "sending data via SpotPass" in System Settings. Also after talking to some friends that have CFW 3DSes I can confirm they're safe. Thank God! :D

  12. In case anyone is unaware, Ash-Greninja's distribution from the Demo, is actually a wondercard!

I'll be updating the site shortly

Oh so they've done away with Pokemon Link? And what about the item distributions they also wondercards?

Something else I found (which I'm sure everyone expected it anyways since GF announced it before)

There's also text in the game that suggests Pokemon Go is indeed going to be connectable sometime in the future:

Thank you for playing Pokémon GO! Please pick up your gift from the deliveryman in any Pokémon Center.

    Pokemon GO (location)

Also, does anyone know the formula on how the 6-digit TID is displayed? I know it's by combining the TID and SID bytes but how do I get a specific 6-digit number that I want?

    Thanks in advance
