  1. Now, there's a way through IronTubeHax. Thanks so much to Asia81, Brewzip and Doumekxkai, for the original method and files: http://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-savedatafiler-pok%C3%A9mon-shuffle-free-diamonds-and-coins-golds.393568/

    1) Download the Save Manager app, and put it inside the 3ds folder on your SD card: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/6vwld0sg4pkkvcp/save_manager.7z

    2) Download and install Python 2.7 on your PC. Google it, should be the first result.

    3) Download the Pokémon Shuffle Save Patcher, it's a Python script: http://jheberg.net/captcha/pokemonshufflesavepatcher/

    4) Through Save Manager, dump your Pokémon Shuffle save (you choose the desired game to dump saves pressing left and right).

    5) Put your 3DS SD card on the PC, open the "SaveDataBackup" folder - a file named "savedata.bin" should be there. Make a backup of it now.

    6) Drag and drop the savedata.bin on the downloaded Save Patcher.

    7) Remove the old savedata.bin , and replace the updated savedata.bin on the SaveDataBackup folder.

    8) Put the SD back on your 3DS, open the Save Manager Homebrew and restore the Pokémon Shuffle save.

You should have now a big amount of Jewels, Mega Speedups, battle items and hearts. Some of them will display huge values, but after using just one of each, they will drop into valid numbers (99999 for coins, 150 for Jewels, 99 for everything else).

For hearts, after they drop into zero, just use one more and the counter will "reset" into 99.

  2. Thanks for the answers :)

BTW, for games like Shuffle or Rumble World, there's that instruction for us to delete the "secure value" or whatever it is, before reloading the save, so it will not get corrupted. But how will I delete the secure value using save manager? :o

Hmm... about Shuffle, I didn't deleted anything and the patch worked fine... just the Jewels were overload at the first moment (more than 1000 of it!), but after using one single Jewel, the amount dropped into the valid limit of 150. Not sure about that "secure value", though :/

  3. OK I'm about to get my game & its SD card to start putting that save manager to my homebrew. How will I do that? Just paste the "save_manager" folder & its contents inside the "3DS" folder?

Yes, exactly that. After booting TubeHax, you can access the Save Manager, then choose the game (pressing left and right) to backup/restore saves.

EDIT: Also about that Shuffle post, it says SaveDataFiller too. What's SaveDataFiller? I thought I'll only use that in conjunction with Gateway? Or is that the old version of this new save manger?

About SaveDataFiler, let's say it's exactly what you said. The difference is, this new save manager acts just like the SaveDataFiler, but for users without Gateway, custom 3DS firmware, and such. It's more for TubeHax/IronHax users.

  4. Ah yeah, already have YouTube, and already have Tubehax :)

Another question though, as I'm recently addicted to Rumble World... there's this Rumble World editor made by SciresM (same one who did RAM2Sav IIRC): http://gbatemp.net/threads/pokemon-rumble-world-diamonds-p-tool.386526/

As I read further, it says I require Gateway to edit my rumble world save (prior to the save manager's release). Question is, can I use this Save Manager to use that Rumble World editor & edit my save?

And yeah, the old instructions are here (which says I require SaveDataFiller?)...

    http://gbatemp.net/threads/pokemon-rumble-world-diamonds-p-tool.386526/page-6#post-5451546

Hmm, I'm not sure about Rumble World, since I don't play this game :/ Didn't tested yet... but seems plausible, about this method.

I can say, this save method works with this Python script for Pokémon Shuffle ( http://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-savedatafiler-pok%C3%A9mon-shuffle-free-diamonds-and-coins-golds.393568/ ) : 150 jewels, max coins, 99 Mega Speedups... just apply the script at your save, then restore the changed save through this new homebrew.

  5. So, while TDVS (that should be better) isn't released yet, a new homebrew for backup/restoring saves appear: http://gbatemp.net/threads/transfering-sky3ds-save-to-legit-game.396162/#post-5643932

You should be able to transfer the save using save_manager if you can run tubehax or the other hax's. Just backup the Sky3ds then restore to the eshop version. I assume it would be best to already have a save on the eShop to overwrite instead of just trying to create it from scratch.

The homebrew, all credit goes to profi200 on IRC I was just at the right place at the right time to see the release.

I tested this app with Pokémon Omega Ruby so far: managed to backup, edit through PKHeX, and restore my save without problems. Didn't tested with XY yet.

  6. I think Homepass shutting down would make a bigger splash than this... (not finding anything on other sites suggesting it) Most likely you are just having technical issues on your end. (It would be nice to be certain, though I haven't been able to use it in a long time, it is a great trick for many people in areas with little to no Passing available)

My two units (2DS and 3DS XL) are on 9.5.0-22U , and Homepass (through my old Android phone) works fine... Even used a little today.

    And I must agree... where I live, I don't know anyone with a 3DS :(

  7. Some of those wc6 are used. So if it is, just use http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?42746-WC6-Editor-(6th-Gen-Wondercard-Viewer)-(ORAS-support-added-12-11-2014)'>wc6 editor to make it unused again.

Ok prettey scary two part question:

    1) do you think it will be easy for the new QR code injector be updated to work well with wc6?

    2) will this mean it might be developed into the new 3ds?

    About question 1, that's already running :) Here: http://lunarcookies.github.io/card.html

Just drop the .WC6 file into the square and proceed through the steps posted here: http://pastebin.com/5ki4hTgj

(there's also methods to clone Box2 into Box1 and fill Box1 entirely with the Box1Slot1 Pokémon, too)

  8. Someone apparently was able to condense everything into the web browser payload and thus no files on SD card required:

    http://lunarcookies.github.io/upload.html

Thread on GBATemp where this was originally posted:

    http://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-launcher-spider3dstools-released.379427/page-36#post-5354288

I currently lack the means of testing this myself as my 3DS XL has been sent off to get NAND modded. But it looks like it should work. It generates a QR code after you drag an ekx/ek6 file onto it and that points the browser to the custom payload it generates.

The author of this might try and build in a converter to convert unencrypted PKX files into ekx serverside. If that happens, it will certainly make this easier to use for some people. :D

This method can brick games/3DS somehow? Asking because Serebii website owner said that here at this link, so I'm afraid with this.

(although I understand their position against any injection method)

  9. Hello again! Kaphotics, thanks for your answer. I must relate something I did yesterday, maybe it's useful somehow.

With the help of a friend that have Alpha Sapphire (I have Omega Ruby only), we exchanged ramsav.bin files and injected in each other's games - so I captured Ho-Oh using their AS save in my OR game, and he captured Lugia using my OR save in their AS game.

Through this method, we managed to unlock the exclusive battle themes in the opposite saves, and after exchanged the updated ramsav.bin files and re-injected in our games, the battle themes didn't disappeared. So now we have all the battle themes unlocked in our OR and AS games.

I know this is just a minor detail, if compared to many things that PKHeX can do, but if this bit of info could be useful for a future feature on PKHeX (after all, this method isn't very practical)... if you want for resource purposes, I can share my ramsav.bin file with both themes.

Again, thanks for your attention! Keep the good work! :)

  10. Hello! At first, I would thank all of you for your efforts with PKHeX. I'm using it with Ram2Sav, and works like a charm.

However, I have a question, but I don't know if this is the right place to ask... Since now we can edit much aspects from our save files through PKHeX and reinject them through Ram2Sav, I was wondering about one thing, it's a minor detail, I know.

In online battles, we can set the music that will play; but since Ho-Oh and Lugia have their exclusive battle themes, an Omega Ruby player can't use the Lugia theme in online battles (since Lugia isn't obtainable in OR) - the same for Alpha Sapphire players that can't use the Ho-Oh theme.

Precisely, these tracks are Music 12 - Battle! Ho-Oh (Omega Ruby Only); & Music 13 - Battle! Lugia (Alpha Sapphire Only).

Assuming both themes are encoded in both versions, maybe it would be possible to just unlock these themes through PkHeX in some way (so OR players could choose Music 13 too, and AR players could choose Music 12)?

Just a silly question, I know. Thanks in advance to everyone. And sorry for my English mistakes. :)

  11. Works like a charm! Thank you so much for all your efforts. :)
