  1. I have downloaded PKHex because I wanted to try out the new method for Pokegenning, but it won't open. I keep getting this message ( http://prntscr.com/5xqvg4 ) and I have tried to fix it by downloading different versions of .NET Framework, but that hasn't done anything to fix the problem. I would just like some help so I can get PKHex to work. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Two things real quick. One is that you should've posted this in the PKHeX thread, and secondly something that might work is one extracting it if you don't see a icon next to it and the other is changing it's compatibility mode.

  2. I used this method, and unfortunately I have a mac, so when I tried to open PKHeX in wine, it just stayed on the loading screen and wouldn't work. Instead, I used pokegen and when I was finished making the pokemon, I changed the file extension to .ekx and everything else worked but when I got to my pc, it just showed up as an egg that wouldn't hatch. I think it's because I need to use PKHeX and I wish somehow I could, if someone could help I would be very appreciative, I also tried it 3 times, and it still didn't work:(

PKHeX isn't the only software that is usable, just as long as you are saving the file correctly and the file has the valid code.

  3. if i want to use a hackmon like: easy sample sturdy shedinja vs my friends what do i have to do? i tried it doing it this way but i could not use them in wifi battles? but there isn't a real tut for this. any help is welcome

The pokemon servers are likely not recognizing it as a real pokemon. A easy fix that has a fairly decent chance of working which is to trade it in a LAN and then trade it back.

  4. Hello Hello!~

Yes hi, I've been having quite a problem! I've shared it with my friends and they have it too.

So whenever we create a pokemon on PKHeX we get a bad egg, yes it's .ekx and I've checked everything and nothing seems to be wrong, deleted history, deleted cookies, and whenever we try getting the example Hoopa, we are able to get it. If this problem could be fixed I'd be very happy! Thanks~

When you're in PKHex and hit save as are you sure you're saving it as a .EKX which should have the file name .EK6 before you change it?

  5. Well Im Using A lexar 4gb Sd card But it didnt come with my 3ds but instead from my old camera so I dont know what to do. Should i try and find my original One that cmae with my 3ds?

I would personally recommend trying this is may change something it may not. However there may br another fix for the current SD you have which you might want to try as well. I would tell you this fix now but I'm on my phone.

  6. Hey peeps~

So, I made a bunch of shiney eevees to get their evolutions (I love shiny sylveon), but when I attempted to evolve the ones that needed stones my 3ds simply froze and took several minutes to turn off. I thought it was a one time only thing but I tried twice more and got the same results.

Anyone else having trouble evolving their pokémon? Anyone tried leveling them up yet? Or breeding?

It's likely a issue with the generated pokemon it's self because I personally got a Ninetails & Glaceon but when you put them in your party you get the same black screen if you hit the button to show your party or if you try and view the pokemon's summary. At the moment I've found a way to fix it but it's kinda inefficient, however the way I solved it was by trading the pokemon to my friend and then he traded it back to me and it worked. This was done on LAN however and it may take a different effect if you do it online.

  7. Okay, I'm sorry to keep bugging you but my files are in the root of the SD card, they are correctly labeled and everything. I've cleared my history and cookies, just in case and the Pokemon still doesn't show up... I even tried the example Hoopa. Could it be that I'm not sysnand 9.0 - 9.4? (I have no idea what that means)

I have two pieces of advice for you. One is that if you go into your 3DS and go into the settings and if at the top screen it doesn't say 9.0 or 9.4 then you are kinda screwed for now.

The second piece of advice I have for you is to watch a video tutorial to make sure you're doing everything correctly I personally would recommend this video.

  8. no im saving it right im telling you i get the right egg the egg is in the right pokeball premier ball has the marks of the star and todays date but i cant get it to hatch i can get all the pokemon i want but if i choose for it to be an egg i cant hatch the egg

Oh with that if I'm correct it doesn't work correctly if you choose to have it as a egg because the PKHeX program was not made for this exploit.

  9. i meant like ive gottent it to work on my system got the egg but i cant hatch it i know its not the usual bad egg because i get the date of today and the marks and the pokeball but it says the bad egg info that it will take a long time to hatch is because i cant gen pokemon in eggs ???

Your problem is when you're in the PKHeX and you hit save you're saving it as something other then a .ek6 file that's called PKX that you later need to change to a .pkx .

  10. I placed the Sample Hoopa and Code.bin in the root of the sd card seperately.

It is the right firmware and I am almost sure the internet browser part is correct.Thanks.What is wrong with it?

I looked at it and found the problem that is likely causing it. If you open up PKHeX the program the creates the pokemon and open up the pokemon.pkx file you want to click on the Tools then click Toggle Box Interface and you should get something to pop-up on the right that's green boxes with some other stuff you need to drag the picture of the pokemon in the middle top into any of those green boxes then save and replace the current file in the SD with the new one.

So I shouldn't put it in the folder labeled "Nintendo 3DS" or "DCIM"?

Neither your code file and pokemon.pkx file should be right under both of those folders.

  11. What is the "root of an SD card"?

The root folder, also called the root directory, of any partition is the "highest" folder in the hierarchy. The root directory contains all other folders in the drive, and can of course also contain files. For example, the root directory of the main partition on your computer is probably C: \ The root folder of your DVD or CD drive might be D: \.

  12. I am having the same problem as most people. I follow all steps entirely but nothing shows up in my box and I have tried all help tips on this site. Please Help. Thanks. I am using the Sample Hoopa.

You likely didn't put both the code and pokemon.ekx file in the root of the SD card, however it's more then likely something you might be doing wrong with the browser in the 3DS but there is a slight possibility that your 3DS is on the wrong firmware/version to.
