use the save file injection method and edit your pokedex. just add the pokemon you are missing to complete the national pokedex by editing the pokedex file. then you'll have the shiny charm once you go to the professor. the method to do that is here.

if you're talking about the pokegen insertion pokemon things, then yes 2ds works with it. has to be under a certain firmware on the 2ds though can't remember which one.

I am currently trying to run PKHeX on my mac using wine (the latest version) but it always gets stuck on the loading screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

And please don't just say "get bootcamp/parallels" as those cost a lot of money and are a pain to install.

have no fear wine for mac is here. download the latest version of wine and find the tool called wine tricks from one of the drop down menus. download a file called .net framework 4.0 from the open wine tricks menu. follow the instructions to download and install the .net framework and voila pkhex should run. it'll run in a slightly different version (windows 95 ish kind of) but it'll work!

anyone know of a good place to find other people's save files? I'm curious to see other people's pokemon, pokedex, etcetera so that I can load it on my game. Is this possible? thanks in advance.

hey, I tried to download a hoopa from the sample you posted but it didn't appeared. The only thing I saw different from the video you're showing is that when I enter the webpage on the 3ds's browser, it tells "failed to load part of the page". Am I doing something wrong? or what can you tell me about this?

that message is normal. once that message appears wait until the message saying that the internet browser stopped working. then go back into your pokemon game and open your boxes to see your hacked pokemon!

So you are supposed to unzip the code.bin in the root then run the exploit? That is the only thing I can see I am doing wrong if it is.

yeah take the code.bin and copy it over to the 3DS SD card. don't put it in any folders inside the 3DS SD card. put it in the root of the card, which means no folders just inside the card.

I'm still seeing a lot of basic questions like "what is the root folder" and "why am I getting a bad egg", so I made this little infographic. I hope it helps. (Click to view full res)

You should just follow the instructions on the first link, and research the pokemon through Serebii or whoever to make sure its met location, level, and everything else is legal.

Ok so, let's say I leave some existing pokemon in my Box 1 before I use the code. Let's say I leave the second row preoccupied, and my boxdata file has data that contains generated pokemon only for the first row. Will my second row of pokemon get overwritten or not?

I won't claim this as official or anything, but here you can submit some legit .pkx, .pk6, .ekx, .ek6 files. By legit, they don't have to be 100% percent legit, just legit enough to bypass the legitimacy checks in X/Y/ORAS. I will start by posting some I've found.

Yeah, I think that your right. I have just checked and they arent with a ribbon at all. Plus I have tested on the GTS and I can trade them fine so then yeah, I think that they can be actually tradeable.

but i can't understand the guide, specifically the first part about pokesav. i can't find a pokesav that works with pokemon y. only pokesavs available are for previous generations.

i also don't know how to locate the .sav file on my 3DS.

Make sure you're using the latest PKHeX and looking under the tools TAB and not the tools menu
