  1. Mega Hoopa with this?

It isn't "Mega Hoopa", it's "Hoopa Unbound". Just transfer a fateful encounter Hoopa from X/Y and go in any Pokemart, and the event will be triggered. You get the Prison Bottle key item which changes Hoopa's form.

  2. Anyone know the map co-ordinates of the Pokemon League? I don't want to go through Victory road and I'd rather just change my location through PKHeX

I've never managed to get the coordinates working properly, I always end up with a black screen, the music of the area I'm in, and when I walk in all directions it makes the thud noise straight away (i.e. no movement).

  3. Yo Kaphotics, is a Japanese 3DS fully required for using Pkhex an the CyberSave Editor or can I just Pokémon Bank them from my Japanese Pokémon Y to my English Pokémon Y?

If you can get your hands on a Japanese game that has a save file on it already (i.e. many second hand games), then you can use PKHeX and Pokémon Bank. A Japanese game fresh out the box will not work since the save game part of the data isn't initialised, and there's no way to replicate this without using a Japanese 3DS (by that I mean NTSC-J piece of hardware). Since it's pretty hard (and risky, in case the seller is lying) to get a Japanese copy of the game with a save file still on it, buying the console is what most people have to do.

Also Kaphotics, can I change my 3DS and Pokémon Y to Japanese using the Language Settings and then receive the Pkhex edited Pokémon with the 3DS?

No, the game cart and 3DS's region aren't determined by the language. Changing the language is purely aesthetic and it will not make it Japanese. If the cart is NTSC-J, it'll be accepted by the Cyber Gadget servers (since it's all done server side). If it's a game from any other region, it will fail to write the edited file to the cart. Again, there's no way to trick it. If it's a European cartridge it will always be a European cartridge.

  4. Good luck and I hope you can, this will be great news for people that don't want to fork out on a JP 3DS. Also if you manage to create a piece of software that can re encrypt saves on an unmodded 3DS will they be in a .bin format to insert them with Powersaves?

Powersaves will never be able to do that because it's designed to work the way it does i.e. server side. No Datel server, and it's pretty much useless.

  5. But basically you're telling me to get in touch with some Japanese players, who would be able to trade me said Pokemon not available by means public to the international market, right?

Not unless you're in the same room as them, and then you might as well just use Pokémon Bank. Or you could mail your cart to someone if they agreed. But anything unreleased can't be traded until they allow it, like Diancie.

They could've easily been locally traded, or transferred using PokeBank, to a non-Japanese cart/console.

eBay is full of copies of X and Y with all 721 Pokémon on as well. if anyone is really that desperate, just get one of those. They're not much more than the cost of a new game really.

what about Pokecheck? Will Pokecheck just work for people with cyber gadget then?

No, I don't see why it would work like that. Why would people with Cyber Gadget even need Pokécheck? If Pokécheck ever comes back it will be available to everyone. The thing is, the people behind it have lives and the project takes up a lot of time and effort. If it comes back, great, but I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

  6. Datel did, both for Japan and international. They just don't allow user-side editing and there is no sign that they have any intention of changing that, so it's best to just give up.

If you want a Volcanion. just use the GTS and learn to breed. Game Freak made it so easy to breed 5-6x 31 IV Pokemon with whatever ability you want and even be Shiny and in the Ball of your choice and etc. that it's almost unfair to all those who did it in past games. You don't need to cheat to do something they literally made so easy.

Well, Volcanion can't be traded on the GTS, only local wireless. Breeding is easy enough though.

  7. Good evening, I searched around and noticed that I couldn't find any news on making this work on American or European consoles and games.

I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me if it is possible and if someone is working on it. (There probably is, but apparently my GoogleFu just isn't trained enough ^^)

The issue is that it's all done server side like Powersaves. The Cyber Gadget servers block non-JP carts, and there's no way to "trick" them into accepting your EU/US cart, and there never will be. The only chance of American and European carts being compatible is if Cyber Gadget decides to allow them. Seeing as they're a Japanese company who have been going for years and never release stuff outside of Japan, the chances are tiny, virtually zero.

  8. I have a friend who is willing to help us if we can give him the details to build a re-signing program. Also, would it be too much to ask if a tutorial video can be made to show us how to decrypt a backed up save file from powersave?

I don't think it's possible for someone to simply "build a re-signing program", and if it were, it'd be posted on here. There's a tool for every current possible task imaginable, including a re-signing program that only works with the Cyber Gadget Save Editor dongle. Which piece of hardware is your friend hoping to utilise? The Powersaves and Cyber Gadget work server-side, and the R4i dongle can only decrypt older 3DS games, not games with X/Y's encryption. For about 24 hours (probably less) you could abuse the Powersaves dongle and brute force Pokemon in, but they patched that immediately.

Either way, there's a (written) tutorial on here that is pretty easy to follow. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?37269-X-Y-Save-File-Research&p=183148&viewfull=1#post183148

You can only partially decrypt, through.

  9. I just ordered a bundle (nds/cyber save editor/pokemon x) from amazon that should be coming in some time this week.

the software disc that comes with cyber save editor, is it drivers or something? i cannot read jp, so don't know what it is for. i can just use the adapter and this software (in English) and be good to go?

You need to install the Japanese program for the drivers, but it's pretty easy to blag your way through the installation since it's the same interface as any other Windows installer, just in Japanese. There are two buttons, "next" and "back", just keep clicking the next one and maybe tick the terms and conditions button if it asks. Then drag the entire contents of the modded software zip file into the program folder that has just been created with the install.

  10. It's because Xerneas doesn't use a move or need some conditions to change its form, it's automatic, so when you change it's form prior to battle it will just automatically changes back to original afterwards. The main reason though I change it form prior to battle is so I could use another ability. When you change Xerneas ability, it will turn back to fairy aura the moment it gets out coz of the form change, so I changed its form prior to battle then give it a new ability, the new ability didn't change through out the battle coz it is already on active form but after the battle it still turned back to its original form making its ability back to fairy aura.. Basically stuck with it lol

I used an hex editor, I edited the Pokemon file(Pkx).

Looks like you'll have to just create a new Xerneas every time you want to use one with a different ability :P or make a box full of them, since they should keep permanently active

  11. I think I am originally the one who asked this a while ago if not mistaken. I actually been successful in changing my Xerneas form into active prior to battle and gave it a new ability without changing back, the problem though is that, it turns back to passive form after the battle which makes everything useless.

That's strange, since other temporary forms (like Meloetta-P) don't change back after battle. How did you go about changing the form? Did you edit the source code in Visual Studio?

  12. My Pokemon that need moves edited

Sylveon -Wish and double edge, Rayquaza V-create, and Victini Glaciate, Blue Flare and Bolt Strike

    my Friend Code: 2406-5142-4962

As I suspected, these would be illegal and therefore untradeable.

  13. does this mean there will never be something different to using PKHex?

Even if Datel released a piece of hardware that allowed you to inject, you'd still want to use PKHeX, since that's the best tool for editing. At some point, a device will be released in the west. But it will not be the Cyber Gadget Save Editor. The company doesn't release outside of Japan and never has. Just like loads of American/European pieces of tech don't get released in Japan. It's only a matter of time before 3DS action replays become as common as they were in the GB/GBA/DS era. The capability is there - Datel could easily allow saves to be edited and injected if they wanted to. Cyber Gadget already do allow it. I've heard semi-reliable whispers of a cheap, Western, Powersaves-on-steroids 3DS action replay in time for Christmas. Who knows?

  14. Ah, makes sense - I had no idea female characters woke up holding a 3DS for the few minutes until they get dressed! There's not much point of it since it doesn't show up on your trainer card or in battle. If anyone wants to do it, clear 14D21 and 14E47:

  15. So, do you think we can ever use Powersave 3ds like CGSE or somethimes use a european Pokemon Y on CGSE?

Even though the devices look similar, they're fundamentally different pieces of hardware. A Powersaves exploit was found months back that allowed a few people to inject Pokémon, but Datel patched it straight away. As for using a non-JP copy of the game with the CGSE hardware, if it was as easy as tricking the software or the server then it'd be posted on here. As it stands there really is no way around it.

  16. Okay that makes sense. Do you know if you can put them in Pokemon bank? I know you could with Diancie Pre-Release.

Pokémon Bank is totally check-free, you can put anything in there - hacked, illegal, unreleased etc. It's just the Pokétransporter side that has hack checks.

  17. Help please!

Im trying to trade online my starters that I created on my CGSE but they wont go through. Stats and moveset are totally legal, Maybe the problem is where I met"..These is what I selected:

    Origin game- Y

met location- A Day Care Couple

    ball- Pokeball

    met level- 1

Met date- I selected todays date

    I selected As Egg"

    Location- Route 7

    Date- Todays date

    Did I do something wrong?

    Thanks!

    (The Pokemon are not shiny)

What moves do they have? Breed a legit one to compare it with in PKHeX. If one tiny thing is wrong it won't work.

  18. When I try to do the hex edit, I keep getting "Error while downloading decrypted save". Why is this? This game is japanese, and it has a save on it with pokedex and everything. I can also play the game fine if I need to get further in the story. I switched it to japanese language and that didn't work. I also tried using the original rather than the modded program and that did not work either. Am I doomed? :(

The servers were down last night so that might've been it?
