  1. Interesting. I'll give that a try. Thank you!
  2. This is a much better explanation of the problem. I have this exact issue in multiple positions on my key (10 positions, I believe). Thank you for explaining and clarifying!
  3. Hi again! Sorry to cause trouble once more, but I've been using your version of KeySAV2 recently and I've stumbled upon further interesting phenomena -- no error messages this time though. I set up a series of saves so that each position would see each possible state, but I still randomly get "~" for some empty positions and then no information in positions where a Pokemon actually exists. It isn't a huge issue, but I thought it might help future updates if I provided some more info about this. Here's the set of files I used, on dropbox again: https://www.dropbox.com/s/19u9lwa1c5vbd4y/Backups2.zip save1 and save2 were used to break the encryption, and then files 1-4 were used to satisfy each possible state for each position. Files 5 and 6 were used to test the accuracy of the output, since no "~" should occur after running files 1-4. It's entirely possible that I'm making a dumb mistake somewhere, but I can't figure out where, if that's the case. Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it!
  4. I tried using multiple saves and it seems to be working now. I appreciate your patience and your help. Thank you!
  5. Thank you! Since I moved stuff around so much, I'm not sure what's in that egg anymore. I'll try your update with new saves to see what happens. In regards to the data that is randomly corrupted, is it corrupted on my savefile or somewhere in between backing up, encryption breaking, and exporting? Thank you again.
  6. That didn't work either. After not getting the error a few times, I shifted all my Pokemon one box to the left, backup -- no error. Shifted them all one box to the left again, backup -- no error. Shifted to the left again, backup -- error occurred at this line: Trying to upload the files gives me "backups.zip: upload of the file failed" so I uploaded them to dropbox. In the zip is save1, save2, and then 5 save files with slightly different positioning for the Pokemon. Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k3q6ix2of32idz7/Backups.zip
  7. It did happen in every output style, but I may have it working now. I moved all my Pokemon around and then started from the beginning again. I don't get any errors now, but it still isn't outputting everything. Perhaps it's still in the "learning" phase until it has decrypted the 3 options for each position. I'll keep moving stuff around and see if I can't get it to capture everything. If that's the case, the only thing I changed since the last time I got an error was switching positions of all of the Pokemon. I can still upload the files if you'd like.
  8. Yes No, I downloaded KeySAV2 from the first post in this thread. I tried a few of the outputs -- default, CSV, TSV, reddit. Here's the output from the first time I ran it, before releasing everything in box 12: Here's the output from the second attempt, after releasing everything in box 12: And here's the output from using the key from a new save file (like you suggested) with the backup from the old save file (missing most Pokemon/eggs): Edit: Can't answer a simple question...
  9. Unfortunately that didn't work. It passed through boxes 11 and 12 this time, but stopped at the very next Pokemon in box 15. I don't know what else to try.
  10. I did. After tinkering with it for a while, the only other thing I have noticed is that if I click "continue" on the exception dialog box I can look through what it exported before it encountered the exception. It seems to be related to some Pokemon. For instance: I start from the beginning -- fresh install of KeySAV2, save1, save2, successful decryption, export attempt --> exception. Last line that appears in the output box shows "Box 11 3,6 ..." I move everything from box 11 to box 12. Start from the beginning again -- fresh install of KeySAV2, save1, save2, successful decryption, export attempt --> exception. Last line that appears in the output box shows "Box 12 3,6". None of my Pokemon on any of my cartridges are hacked or non-legit in any way. In fact, all Pokemon on this cartridge were either caught or hatched on this cartridge, so I don't think there could be any corruption of the Pokemon data. I'm going to try to release everything in that box and start over again.
  11. I tried it with them checked and unchecked. Same result.
  12. Interesting. Doing what you suggested prevents the error, but doesn't export all of the Pokemon from the original save. It exported about 20 Pokemon, while there's actually about 360.
  13. I have definitely shuffled boxes around a few times on this cartridge. I don't think I've ever moved boxes around on the others, so that may be the problem. I'll backup, restart, and re-break now, then let you know what happens. Thanks.
  14. Right. I'm able to break them, and it says it's successful, but then when I attempt to use the SAV tab, I get that exception. I continued to tinker with it and found that it only occurs on one of my 3 physical copies of the game. On the other two, I am able to successfully export all boxes after breaking the encryption.
  15. I have previously used KeySAV and Massdumper, but I'm running into an issue with KeySAV2. I am able to break the encryption, but attempting to export my data results in this exception: Thank you for your help.
