  1. If you attempted to acquire the save and something went aMuk (say you recieved a green screen) you'll have to do it again. I would recommend deleting your browser history and cookies, even the ramsav to be safe, and trying again.

EDIT: I had a similar issue when I went to update mine (that's all :P).

EDIT2: Looks like I may have to take off now; just wanted to thank SciresM. :)

I didn't receive any weird screens.

Does this work on digital? And... how do you get around the empty 448KB dilemma?

  2. umm, by any chance, does this mess up the save file? i'm having trouble trying to do this because i'm afraid that it might mess up my save file, and that i have no other means of backing up/restoring my save file.

if anyone can confirm this it would be greatly appreciated :))

Nope. Best part of this is if you did mess up and spawn a Bad Egg, you can just cut the game off because nothing saved.
  3. Bad Eggs aren't dangerous period. Just don't touch it. I'm pretty sure Gen 6 Bad Eggs can't even hatch, which is when messy things would occur in previous games anyway.

(the source of the ones from 2013 were from Nintendo's usual ineptitude with digital anything, IIRC it occurred on digital X/Y copies on certain-sized (4GB, I think?) memory cards.)

Alternatively you can just use the same injection method to overwrite it with a release-able Pokemon.

  4. Ouch! Probably they're might be a way it's homebrew anything can happen.
It's the most useless form of homebrew, though. It sadly has very little access to anything interesting for game modding, and as far as homebrew games or emulators go it's a bust too because it can't utilize the 3DS properly.

Smealum "claims" region free "should be possible", but of course he doesn't talk about anything technical. He's nothing but a typical Twitter braggart. "PLS PEY 'TENTION 2 ME I NEED IT PLS.:

If you want a media assistant or indie/homebrew games and/or emulators... get one of those generic Android tablets and some mobile-compatible USB controller for it. It'll be cheaper than a 3DS and actually have a variety of things to do and things to do well.

  5. Does the device support American copies of X/Y?

Is there any discernible difference between an injected WonderCard and an event-obtained one? Or is it like Gen 4/5 where there is no difference?

  6. Big thanks to Codemonkey85 for implementing the Box Data Report functionality. Guess you got what you wanted, thagrouch ;)

    07/24/14 - New Update:

    • Fixed: Shinifying now behaves properly
    • Fixed: Invalid ID/SIDs are now no longer enterable
    • Added: Box Data Report - Generates a verbose info table with all of the data from the Pokemon loaded/imported in the boxes.
    • Changed: Code Generator now exports codes compatible with the CyberGadget save editor. Currently, only Box and Wondercard insertion is supported.
      • Add 0xE8 to a Box Offset, 0x108 for Wondercards to change from Slot 1.

We can inject WonderCards with the CyberGadget device and actually have them be added to the cart's savefile?
  7. He has not said how he did it publicly and has also said that he does not intend to do it either. However, from what we know, the encryption to the file to his cart was overcome by sheer brute force, and I'm assuming, a lot of trial and error.
Which means it all boils down to trust on a useless reveal, honestly.
  8. This is a late reply but evandixon ended up sending me a solution that was a very simple one, though one I overlooked.

Right-click the folder you're trying to send the savefile to and click Properties. Then click Security. Make sure all user accounts (yes, even the ones you're not using) are set to allow all of the listed (Read/Write/Modify/etc) permissions.

The FTP homebrew wasn't lying when it said it had no permission to write - it just didn't know if the program or the folder had no permission.

  9. I loaded it up with Moonshell on the SuperCard DSTwo, but it's the same problem, it keeps saying there's no write access, and the same problems before that screen too, like no visible directories or files.

I'm at a loss here, why isn't it working? I tried various compatibility modes for smallftpd and they all work the same... which is not at all. Still the same "#0 (or however many times I've tried that session) [account name] - PASV (/)" messages in there.

  10. In order to use this program you need save files.

The only way to get save files from your game is by ripping them with PowerSaves (Cartridges), or by backing up contents of your SD (Digital).

How do you back them up digitally? Or do you mean if you were playing the game via a downloaded copy?
  11. what slot 1 device are you using.

You should get your smallftp to run on xp compatibility.

I'm using an M3 DS Real. It's old, I know, but it's been faithful for me, and I DID get it working a year ago... not sure how, though (I've reformatted several times since, so I don't know like if there was any special settings I did).

I'll try XP Compatibility next time I try running it, hopefully that works. It is a program from 2003 so I'm not shocked if that's why it isn't working properly on Win7.

The slot 1 cart it crashed on was a SuperCard DSTwo.

  12. (repost from GBATemp)

    Savegame Manger DS:

    http://code.google.com/p/savegame-manager/

I can't get this to work for any form of savefile from any game.

    I followed the instructions properly.

Whenever I try to backup a savefile (or restore, it doesn't matter what I pick), the directories on where to save/restore from don't show on the DS. If I press L+R to try to write a new file, it just tells me the FTP doesn't have proper writing access even though it does.

The settings on the program (and the port-forwarding and other router-related things for SGM DS itself) are fine.

    I've tried:

    - connecting my computer directly to the modem instead of using the same Wi-Fi connection as the DS.

    - going from an Open connection to WEP protected.

    - using two different flash carts (with the app actually crashing on one)

    - using two different DS models (Phat and Lite)

I don't know why it isn't working. Nothing seems to get it working. I can see on SmallFTPd that something is trying to connect (via PASV or something), so it's getting accessed... partially.

I don't have a Slot 2 device so unfortunately I can't take the easy way out for this.

I'm using Windows 7 on a laptop (if it matters). I got this to work a year ago apparently as I backed up Black/White 2 saves, but I'm not sure why it won't work now. Is it possible a firmware update to my router messed with any possible access?
