  1. Well, yeah, but beyond that, the Pokemon redeemed is 100% the same, you can just delete the wondercard after that
  2. It should be fine just using the ENG WC, the event was the same and the text language changes ingame. There was no different OT for that distro in the other languages. The WCS14K ones you sent me seem to be fine as far as I can tell. Only difference with the PS ones is the gender (and they both match what is know of the event), bear in mind that if you didn't go to the event yourself, they could be modified PS files, but if you trust your sources, or theSlayer does, that's fine.
  3. The text for that wobbuffet event is the same for both bytes in the italian language (like english and probably spanish), so unless you find a backup the unmodified one, we won't be able to ascertain its legality, let alone its legitimacy.
  4. No, contributions must have a certain degree of legitimacy (or, at least, without proper verifications: legitimacy). Modifying something back to an "unmodified" status is a no go for the purpose of this collection, imo. Up to theSlayer tho. Regarding your other question, since it's for personal use and not a contribution, if you saved it with wc6editor, it fucked over your wondercard because it defaults the "empty" text to the pokemon movie text (00), so to restore it as closely as you can to its previous state, you might have to remember all its original details, but it will never be legit again, just legal. What you do with that info it's up to you, as long as it's for private use. Also, the watermark doesn't affect legality at all, there is no need to remove it, it's only there so both SciresM and theSlayer can easily tell if the file has been purposely modified. As a general warning: Contributing modified or "un-watermarked" wc6s should never be done, no matter what, if you know it's been tampered with beforehand.
  5. Can confirm, the event text seems to be byte 3A, as it reads: 포켓몬이벤트에 와 주셔서 감사 함니다! 소포는 포켓몬센터에 있는 배달원에게 받으십시오! while 2A byte's text is: 포켓몬이벤트에 와 주셔서 감사 함니다! 소포는 포켓몬센터에 있는 배달원에게 받으십시오!! Note the extra ! at the end, which, in the pictures, is nowhere to be seen. So, the contributed wondercard has been most likely, edited by the original cart owner. Thanks for providing the pics, they are also consistent with the pics provided by blackshark in the event announcement topic, elsesomeone!
  6. No such thing as findings, again. The byte does not magically change for each language, it's static for each event. The issue is identifying if the garchomp (TID 4124) provided is modified or not based on the text and pics of the event reception itself, since it pokemonmaniac reported it could be hacked. I can't find redemption pics to check which one of those texts is the correct one, and therefore ascertain elsesomeone's contribution for that particular garchomp is legal enough (I bet that it is, anyways), but since pokemonmaniac seems to have a different display text on his wondercard, this might be worthwile checking. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough or didn't express the point properly.
  7. It's not an issue for the korean one, don't worry (and no, it doesn't change, it's 2A for all the languages in that specific distro, the issue was with the Jump Festa Linoone distro, nothing else) . But yeah, do try clearing the cookies and history for and close the browser, and reopen it before using the savout or savin links.
  8. The korean linoone has no issues, as you redeemed it yourself and we know it's another byte already. Regarding your question about the 1.4 patch, might as well report this to Kaphotics or SciresM, as it might just be a problem with pkhex reading the ramsav.bin if they gamefreak changed some memory addresses. Or if it's during the ram2sav extraction, sciresM might be able to fix it for ram2sav. Although I have a friend using firmware spoofing for 9.2 to be able to download patches and access the eshop, and he didn't have issues last time I checked using ram2sav.
  9. Yeah, I am talking about the jump festa one, and the other events marked as (dubious, lack of text), including the WCS14K mons. If we can find pics of the wc text while they are being received, we can determine if yours or the powersaves one have the correct text. At least I know for sure the Jump Festa linoone got the correct text, both from pics and from ripping it from a friends cartridge (as he went to the event -and no, those pics I linked aren't his-). PS: The korean one has definitely no issues, as you said, I just wanted to point out the WCS14K MIGHT have similar issues to the 4124 WC, since you singled out the WCS14K lack of text in your post.
  10. Upon reception there are some changes, but only in the inferior part, which tells you that you already received the gift from the delivery person (and it has a small variation with an extra ! depending on which one of the bytes it is, for japanese too, not sure about the english text), but other than that, you can spot the difference with the first half.
  11. This IS 3A for Linoone, in game, which is identical to the pictures for it in japanese taken atm of receiving it by other players (http://i.imgur.com/I4TrQCn.jpg): ポケモンイベントに 来てくれて ありがとう! おくりものは ポケモンセンターにいる 配達員から 受け取ってね! 2A would be: ポケモンの イベントに 来てくれて ありがとう! おくりものは ポケモンセンターにいる 配達員から 受け取ってね!! And thus, illegal. Notice the extra "no" character between the "pokemon" and "ibento" words? that's the main difference for that byte in japanese. Now, I'm not sure about the korean ones, since I didn't get to rip em myself, but the linoone one I can pretty much show it's 3A and injecting the powersaves one in game does net the correct text (I also ripped another from a friend's cartridge, as he went to the event due to work related reasons for the magazine he works at, and the only difference was the date). I'm guessing that if we can find pics of the wondercard text during the reception of the korean WCS events, we can check if the powersaves ones (or the ones your provided, since they have another byte) are at least, legal.
  12. No, as I PM'd theSlayer about this already, 3A is the correct text for those events "without" text (only WC6 editor shows em like that) as they do have text in english, japanese, korean and the other languages. English is the same text for both, japanese and korean get small differences, and it's not the placeholder text they get when the byte exceeds the intended values. There are pictures of people receiving those wondercards and the text they have ingame to further prove it, for example, with linoone, we can see the text is in fact the one for 3A (which, again, shows as "empty" in wc6editor): http://imgur.com/a/VDTZd To be clearer: if the wondercard had an invalid text byte, the text displayed in-game would be an entirely different placeholder one (which is a single and lonely "Please pick up your gift from the delivery girl in any Pokémon Center." type of text, in all languages)
  13. As said in the title, PKHeX runs into an unhandled exception every time I try to view the memories from this Lapras. It's nothing special, it has no fancy moves nor anything weird, it's unmodified and was obtained in game, yet, it causes the error every time I try to access its memories, and while pkhex can be continued without any apparent issues, it never accesses the memories/amie menu for this particular pokemon. Not a big issue, but still an error, I guess. The post includes the exception text and the .pk6 file if ya need em. ************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at PKHeX.MemoryAmie.getMemoryString(ComboBox m, ComboBox arg, ComboBox q, ComboBox f, String tr) at PKHeX.MemoryAmie.loadFields() at PKHeX.MemoryAmie..ctor(Form1 frm1) at PKHeX.Form1.openHistory(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
  14. Btw, theSLAYER, WHF15 rayquaza is marked as red in the spreadsheet, and isn't inside the powersaves folder, you probably forgot to mark it as green if it was confirmed as legimitate, but still, just letting ya know.
  15. Do we know if the game sends the wcid to the received list once you acquire all 19 of em? Kinda like the Eon Ticket, which along receiving the wondercard, modifies some values in the saves to allow you to pass on the ticket, for all we know, that byte could be used for tracking something?
  16. Thank you for explaining/clearing all of this
  17. Oh, interesting, gonna check that out in the github now, then. Regarding that last thing in my previous post, the game is supposed to avoid adding the wondercard to the received list even upon natural reception since the hidden part kinda takes care of that, right?
  18. Upon reading some things about this wondercard, I did a flag diff with a ramsav before actually receiving it in game, and a posterior one. EDIT: Of course, this is assuming the save never received it via streetpass, in which case you can't receive the wondercard, at least not normally. Before receiving the wondercard and without other gifts waiting to be picked up, flag 0835 is set. After receiving the wondercard or with other gifts available for pickup, flag 0835 is unset and the gift lady will be present in the pokecenter. Now, after actually receiving the Eon Ticket itself, the game sets the flag 2914, after the dialogue with the ticket lady in which she directs you to Norman. Also, I tried injecting the wondercard on a new/restarted game, and that actually worked... when I was under the impression it wouldn't (from this post: http://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonQRCodes/comments/2xixcc/2_important_announcements/cp0nx0w ). But I only tried it with an unused wondercard I ripped from the last weekend's distro, outta my own games. (edit: Apparently that's related to the WC web injector, disregard.) Another thing is, the game never flags the wondercard as received (but it does set its used flag), even after picking the gift up from the ticket lady. I know Kaphotics fixed some bug regarding that with PKHeX, but I'm not sure if it should show or not after properly receiving the event item.
  19. That's a bug with WC6 editor. In the cases where the event is supposed to give you a random gender, the wondercard fixes it when received to one of em. Of course, said wondercard file when extracted, will retain the gender that was set upon receiving it. WC6 editor for some reason has a beef with reading the gender and will reset to random. Even for events that were not supposed to be random.
  20. Unless someone who actually went to the event contributes it, legitimacy can't be confirmed, at least in the case of the PS wondercard that is available in the zip file. Regarding the Bank event, if they are anything like the Celebii event, it probably won't come with any wondercards.
  21. It becomes watermarked the moment you save the file with WC6 editor, even if you changed nothing at all. Long story short, don't even open and save it with WC6 editor before contributing them.
  22. There, have at it, then. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6ffitahj76fyaoj/wifievents.zip?dl=0
  23. Hey SciresM, quick question, out of curiosity: would it be possible enabling the inject on the next empty wondercard slot? Or is there a limitation in the way the exploit works?
  24. Yeah, the AC ones are done via street/spotpass (you use the in-game menu at the post office to check out if there is any event/distribution), but the events in question require you to be near an open router with a certain SSID, as nintendo will only send the files when requested via a 3DS connected thru those routers. The events used to be exclusive to some stores like Best Buy and (in japan) 7-eleven, I think. Later they changed it to any Nintendo Zone. Basically, even though the events were local, they still use internet to grab the data and send it to the 3DS. The hotspot you saw, which didn't require you to configure up for use, was definitely a nintendo zone. Next time you go to one of those events, if you enter into the 3DS network settings and try to set it up manually you will find an open router with no protection. Knowing its SSID might help us check if they are using that for local events (as in Animal Crossing). Now, I'm not saying the 3DS will detect those when using local wireless, as in the past that option only checked for other consoles and not routers... but it might be worth taking that into account and checking if somehow it works that way now.
  25. I have a question since you went there, Guested. Do you know how they are actually distributed this generation? Like, they have a console sitting somewhere doing the distro from a cartridge, or you just connect to the local wireless, kinda like the nintendo zone distros for animal crossing?. The later, by changing the SSID of our routers (and maybe spoofing the mac) could open the access to those events to the rest of the world, if it's anything similar. PS: This is just speculation, as some people think that it would be more economic to set up the distros without needing any cartridge for those events.
