Find out SID of 5th Gen using 6th Gen tools?
Cheronprince replied to volstan18's topic in Saves - Research
If you: 1. Poketransfer/Pokebank a Pokemon from your black 2 to your gen 6 (X or Y) 2. Have a way to extract the save data (i.e. powersaves3ds or similar program) 3. Follow the instructions in this project pokemon thread to partially decrypt the save file so that PKHex can open the file 4. Use PKHex to view the file with your Gen5 pokemon on it. The pokemon trainer data will show the SID of your game. It's a lot of work for one piece of data, but there really isn't an easy way now that the NDS wireless system has been taken offline -
Nothing you create using these programs will be legit. However, if you match the WC exactly (no changes from the original WC) then your pokemon will appear to be legal. The only thing you can change and still be legal are the IV's of the pokemon, as long as you maintain the original number of minimum 31IV's. Any moves/abilities that were not part of the original event will make the pokemon illegal.

I was looking at Chespin's in my box and I noticed that PKHex would show my L1 (just hatched) Chespin's Speed stat (IV31, EV0) as 5, but in game it shows 6. I have 19 chespins all with 31IV SPD and varying non spd affecting personalities (trying to hatch a shiny), and they all show the same thing. Not a high priority issue, but something to look at.

Here are the Pics and WC files for the US (Gamestop) Pinsirite and Heracronite. Enjoy!!! Megastones Heracronite and Pinsirite.zip

Just contributed the WC6 files from both my X+Y games in the contribution thread. Got female cards on both versions.

Here are my Contributions as Promised, assuming I decrypted&PKHex exported them correctly. The Fancy (female) and Pokeball (Male) Vivillon WC6 I don't have my Received pics for so take them or leave them as you wish Here are my Super Tough Bugs (Heracross and Pinsir, both female) With the shrinking of the images the text is no longer visible/legible on the screens... Here's the Worlds14 Aegislash WC6 (one from My X and one from my Y, both female) Vivillon, Fancy and Pokeball (US English).zip Worlds14 Aegislash (US English).zip Super-tough Bugs (US English).zip

Here's a quick walk thru: 1. Under 'Options' the 'Target Game' check and see if you are set to Black/White, Pokegen Defaults to Black2/White2 2 In the Mystery Gift Tool, after you open the file, select which slot you want the WC in (I have found that you MUST have a card in slot 1 for the card album to display properly) the n click the '<' arrow to set your current displayed card to that slot. 3. After setting your cards go to the code generator and make sure the Code Generator is set to 'White' 4. Choose your activation button (I recommend 'Select'), check mark the 'Mystery Gift' box, and click 'Generate' 5. The initially displayed code is NOT a WC code. Use the drop box above the code display to select and display the WC code you wish to have. Important! In early August Nintendo released an update to the 3DS operating system, no version of AR will work on a 3DS anymore, you must use a DS or DSi in order to use an AR. I have also sent you a Private Message with a link to a thread where all the Current Black/White WC codes have already been made and tested.

Hrmm, it seems to me that I should mention that I'm assuming you are 'trading' between 2 gen 4 games. File sizes were changed between gen 4 and gen 5 and 'met' location changes when moving between Generations.
-
The only difference between a Pokemon you caught and a Pokemon you received in a trade is the OT info. Met location remains as where the original trainer caught/hatched/received the Pokemon.

There is no (legit) way around the 510 EV limit (Just as there is no way around the 31 IV limit, tho you can min/max every stat without issue). If I'm reading correctly you are Maxing 3 stats that you want so that the other 3 stats don't get bonus's. The only thing you can do is max out 2 stats and spread the remaining 6 points (4 EV points=1 stat point, so there are 127 total stat points or 63 points max per stat, with 1 leftover stat point and 2 'wasted' EV points). Going over this limit is only possible by use of external modification programs (Pokegen, Action Replay, etc.) and will only result in buggy Pokemon that may possibly damage your save file. Quick math: 2 stats maxed = 252 per stat, with 6 extra for 1 other stat; 3 stats balanced = 170 per stat (or 168 in 2 stats and 174 in a 3rd so as not to lose that extra point).
-
Not 100% sure but this probably happened because the game has an EV limit of 510 per Pokemon, i.e. 252 in 2 stats and 6 in a 3rd. Since you capped out 3 stats you are already over the programmed limit and that could be bugging the EV gain (you shouldn't be getting any EV's at all).

Those codes will empty out the entire computer box so make sure the bad eggs are the only things in the box when you activate the code.
