  1. Hello, I have encountered a problem when trying to run a Pokemon Pearl save game that I downloaded from GameFAQ. The game was supposed to be 100% complete, in AR Max (DUC) Format. Now, because I wanted to run it with DESUME, I uses a save converter to change it to DSV format. I then re-named the file to mach the ROM specifically. However, when I then ran the ROM, it acted as if it was a new save. I tried to open the DSV save in PokeGen, but it wasn't recognized at all. The original was recognized, so I know it isn't the save file it'self. I have attached a .ZIP file containing booth of these saves. Any help in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I'm not sure if this only works for the Japanese version, but you could try this:

First, download the wonder card from the event gallery on the main site. Then, open the wonder card with PokeGen. The Mystery Gift tool will open. hit the arrow button in the middle of this window to transfer the wonder card to slot 1 (you could use any slot, but slot 1 is just easier). Now, close the Mystery Gift tool, and open the code generator tool ( Tools -> Code Generator). select your game and language, and the select your activation buttons. Then, check the box that says "Mystery Gifts", and then hit the generate button. Now hit the export button to export these codes as a XML file type to be opened in the AR code manager. Just copy the codes onto your AR, and you should be good.

Again, I'm not sure if this will work for the English version, but I hope that this helped you in some way.

  3. So, I made a JAP AR code in Pokegen that generates the new summer Meloetta WC event for Black 2, but I was wondering if it was possible to port it to an american format. Here is the generated code :

I advise against using this code as it prompts a battle with Ghetsis afterwards, and any subsequent events might be re-enabled.

Hold select while you enter the room.

Note: this will work on any language and either version.

Thanks for the fast reply! I really appreciate it!

  5. Lol, right right :D I knew that too. I was asking in regards to Shiny'ness. Thanks for the background info lol. You a very knowledgeable so thanks! :)

If I leave the PID blank. And make a 31 strait IV Pokemon w/ ability, nature, shiny/or not, gender as I wish. Will the PID number produced reflect a Legal 31 IV Pokemon with the rest of the specs? And I can pass it for a hatched RNG maniupulated PKMM or will the PID produced not match the IV's/ & RNG claim? :P Also can 2 Pokemon have the same PID? Thanks

It should fill it out properly, but you may have to do it a couple times. And it also should be legal, as long as it is edited properly. As for the last question, I don't think 2 Pokemon can have the same PID, but I could be wrong on that.

  6. Ah, thank you. That cleared a lot of things up. Since I have the "Generate Shiny ID" button underneath the ID/Secret ID field. I thought that the Pokemon needed to have a Shiny secret ID in order to be shiny along with the PID. But you say it's just a combination of my ID or my ID's AND the PID. So my new question is does the PID determine a Pokemon's Shiny state solely?

No, it also determines your IV's, Nature, Gender, and Ability. It also determines the spots on a Spinda.

  7. 1) The PID is determined by your Pokemon's IV's, Shineyness, and Nature, not your ID and Secret ID, so It won't make it illegal, as long as you edit it properly.

2)Your Pokemon will retain the Secret ID because it isn't the Pokemon's, it's yours.

3)If you are changing the IV's, you have to delete the PID that is already generated. You don't need to make a new one, because when you save the .PKM file, it will generate one for you, according to the data that you have entered.

4)Yes, you will have to change the PID

    5) I have no idea what a Trash Byte Normalizer is, so I'l just say no to this one.

    6) I am having some trouble understanding the meaning behind this question. I think it is basically asking how to make it legal and check it? If that is the question, then just use Pokecheck to check the legality of your Pokemon after you finish editing it. If that isn't the question, then I apologize for misunderstanding.

    Hopefully this helped :)

  8. Might I pitch in with an idea? Why not make it so that some Legendaries (like, maybe Ho-Oh and Lugia) are version exclusives, and given to the player by an NPC (Like, instead of Benga giving you a shiny Gible or Dratini for beating Black Tower/White Treehollow, I's just a normal Lugia or Ho-Oh), and others (Like Celibi or Jirachi) are wild encounters (I personally never liked the empty space at the top of celestial tower, it could be a good spot). Just some simple ideas. Good luck with the mod, anyways :)

EDIT: Now that I think about it, for trade evolutions, just make it so that the pokemon will level up when holding Plates that match their type (like Haunter to Gengar when holding a Spooky Plate, and Machoke to Machamp when holding the Fist Plate). Again, it's just an idea.

  9. So, I have 2 Shiny Pokemon that you can get in Black 2. The first is The Shiny Gible (Male) that Benga gives you after you beat Black Tower, the other is the Shiny Haxorus (Female) in the Nature Preserve. The Gible is at level 1, with an EXP Share, his ability is Sand Veil, his Nature is Impish, and he knows the move Tackle. The Haxorus is at level 60, no item, has the ability Mold Breaker, has the nature Bold, and his moves are Taunt, Dragon Pulse, Sword Dance, and Guillotine. They should be untouched, so you can EV Train them as you please. Oh, and they are from a North American Cartridge.

  10. Thank you for the help, I will try Shiny2. However, I have found out how to get IR-GTS-BW to wrk now. It turns out that I was just stupid, and made a completely new Internet connection, instead of just editing the DNS settings on an existing connection. Again, thanks for the help, it is really appreciated.

  11. Hello, I am having some problems getting the program IR-GTS-BW to work with my copy of Black 2 . I can get the program to open and run correctly, but when I Enter the GTS from the game, I get an error code on the system. I set the DNS settings to the one mentioned in the program , but I cannot connect. I am trying to get this to work on a Nintendo 3DS console, and both the 3DS internet and DS internet settings are set this way. Also, I am not using a Flash Card or an Action Replay. Any help is appreciated.
