  1. Oh trust me, just because it's new doesn't mean it doesn't need to be cleaned.

As long as you have girl in your house, even nail polish removal works (I used that).

IT's either not cleaned, wrong license region, or both. (I got both)

Though there's presently a new hardware issue, which I haven't suffered from so no advice there.

Well, I just cleaned out the cart with the polish remover (thank you mother), and I'm still having the problem. My program is on V1.14, so it's not a software issue, either. I'm also not too sure about the "alternate version of X", because both my X and Y games are day one releases, but that could be the case. I'm just glad that I'm apparently not the only one with this issue

  2. Hey all, I'm having a slight problem with my Power Saves 3DS, and I want to know if anyone else is having this problem as well. I inserted my Pokemon X into the Transfer Dock, and it tried to load all of the usual things for it, but after about 10 seconds, it says that there isn't any hardware attached to the computer. It works perfectly fine with my Pokemon Y, and even with all of my other 3DS games, so it seems to be an isolated case on my end.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this, but I didn't want to start a different thread for such a minor issue. Any help in solving this problem would be appreciated

  3. So, you are trying to get this new Heatran onto Pokemon White through Heat Gold? You could use a ROM + Emulator to receive the gift, extract the .PKM file with Pokegen, then transfer the file into Gen V format (With Pokecheck, upload it with the option "import Gen IV .PKM as Gen V Pokemon", and download the newly converted Gen V Heatran), and send it to White via PokeGTS.

  4. Pokémon X/Y won't allow for savegame backups, just like any game that is about multiplayer.

And yes, with newer games you can no longer backup and restore an eShop game's savegame file. A hidden value is stored in NAND everytime you save, so the game will know if it's the same savegame file you used last time. If that check failes, the game would delete your savegame competely. I tested this with Animal Crossing New Leaf.

With cartridges, it works the same way, but the key is on the cartridge.

We may need to wait until we have homebrew before editing can be done.

Ah. I did not know this. Okay, thank you for clearing that up for me.

  5. I think the post from Purin above answers your question.

If I remember, every time you "save" for eshop games, there's a unique identifier. If you try to put in yesterday's save to replace a save you just done (on the sd card), it won't load as the identifier is stored on the 3ds.

The only time I got away with backing up 3ds eshop saves is for dream radar (on os 5.x.x)

if you're referring to the eshop app that backs up cart saves,

Afaik it's one way to your eshop games, and the save is deleted from your cart.

I was referring to the new feature as of OS 6.00 in which you can back up your downloaded games. My idea is, If we can look at the data backed up from the downloaded copy, and the raw game data on the SD card, that could give some hints for possible Gen VI save editing. And, also because of the ability to restore E-Shop games saves easily, It would make ejecting and re-inserting saves easier. However, I have no idea on the details on the encryption, so this is probably nothing at all.

  6. Because of the encryption the 3DS has and according to everyone here the game cards are encrypted which means they have to crack the encryption key in order to dump the files. Am I wrong or right guys?:)

Well, that's the Game Card. What about the Downloaded games from the E-Shop and the option to Back up the game there? Would there be some potential there?

  7. If you still have them on Pokemon Black, then you could just trade them over to White with another DS. Unless I'm misreading the question. If you have the .PKM files on your computer, then you could send them to your game Via a GTS spoof server like PokeGTS, Shiny2 or IR_GTS_BW.

  8. Okay, so I generated the same Wonder Card, but for Japanese Black 1. Looking at the first few lines of code the only difference that I can find is in lines 3 and 4. in the English code, it's 02024A34 FADCF3D6, while the Japanese counterpart is 02024858 FBCAF3D6. But I don't understand how finding the language indicators will help convert the code to English Black 2. Sorry if it's something simple that I'm missing.

  9. Okay, to my understanding, PokeGen created AR codes for Black and White 2 using the same values as Black and White one (please correct me if I'm wrong). So, I was wondering if there was a way to take a Wonder Card AR code generated in PokeGen for Black and White, and convert it for use in Black 2 and White 2. For an example, If I was to generate a code for the recent Meloetta event for use in Black 1:

    MELOETTA WC(L+R)

    00000000 00000000
    D2000000 00000000

What would I have to change to make it usable for Black 2?

  10. I fixed it. Just had to trim the first 0xA4 or so bytes to bring it down to the normal size of 0x80000. It was easy to spot the extra info, since normally there's no recognizable text in a Gen IV save file.

Thanks! It works perfectly now. I owe you big time now

  11. Here's the ultimate solution: After selecting the save through Import Backup Memory you MUST choose AUTO (From Imported Data Size). That Way it WILL Work. Hope it Helps!

Unfortunately, that still didn't do anything. The game still loads as if there is no save data.
