Apologies if this is in the wrong place. As some of you may see in Kazo's tools thread, I am replacing trainers/leaders/E4 members in the game with ones from the other games. Shauntal is my test subject, being replaced with Lance, of the Kanto Elite Four. Now, with that in mind, I would rather like to replace "Shauntal" with "Lance", however, the Trainer Editor does not let me do that, and I cannot find an option in the Text Editor to allow me to do that. Does anyone know where within the ROM I should look?

Indeed. Hmm, now, I am no artist, so they will not be the best, but would anyone like me to post my mugshots for the Hoenn Gym Leaders, E4 and Champ (Steven of course) when I have done them? Will be working on them today and tomorrow.

Sprite Editing - Last 2 sets are, from the last, Hilda, and Hilbert, respectively. The one before that is one of the Subway Bosses. Is anyone able to locate me the E4 Members?

Thank you. Just used the Overworld, so now I have Lance on the Overworld. Now it's Sprite time. I thank you Andi for your help, and most of all Kazo for these tools. Later on, I shall use a text editor, and spend ages with the text, and stuff, fully replacing the E4 with a round of champions

Hmm, cheers. Also, Andi, you've been using this. Is there any quick way to decompress the BWSE files? I would rather not go through all of them just to look for Shauntal.

For the mugshot, I have been using Shauntal as a test subject, switching her with Lance. However, when I go to fight her, it freezes up. How do I remedy this? I believe I have done everything correctly

Don't suppose anyone has a handy folder with OTHER mugshots available. I.e. Red, Steven etc? I could try editing, but I dunno how good I would be. Suppose I should try. Edit, found them on Spriter's Resource. The R/S/E sprites are gonna be the hard ones but it will be fun. Don't think you mentioned it in readme, but it would be helpful for me to know that for the mugshot editor, the image needs to be 128x64 pixels. For example, I replaced Hilbert with Gold.

Thank you very much. Is there a list for which string is which Pokemon, or does it go in logical order, i.e. Vicinti to Genosect? Edit, my last question since I sense I am getting annoying. Have you got a type chart in the Hex form? I was looking at one in an Editing Base Stats thread but that does not seem to match up

Any idea how to stop the ROM expanding in size once the NARC is reinserted?

Hmm, now my problem is in terms of Filesize. Can't remember exact numbers since I done it this morning, but lets say that my ROM was 200MB originally. I modified some text, y'know, not a whole lot. I then reinserted (following the steps every step of the way), and it more than doubled in size to 412MB or something.

Where abouts in 0/0/3 can I find the text for the Black City trainers? As mentioned in the Trainer Editor, I have changed their teams to that of Gym Leaders and Elite Four members from the other regions. I am slowly going backwards through the 471 files, but that could take quite some time. Edit, never mind, it is 0002

I sound annoying, sorry. I suppose there is no way to edit the trainers names is there? I try, but I then get an unexpected error upon saving.

Anyone worked out how to set a shiny? I could be wrong, but I assume there must be some option, considering there was a Shiny Espeon in the Battle Tower in FR/LG. Anyways, this is pretty good, thanks for the spreadsheet, allowed me to find the Black City people much easier. Now to increase Black City. I heard it can have 45 people max. So if I do that, and get all 45, then I can have 8x4= 32 Leaders, and 13 Elite Four Members. Course, I can shift that up, if I remove/merge some leaders (like Roxanne with Brock, Misty with Wake). Lots of potential. Again, thanks for the progarm mate.

Seems like I can't actually rematch Leaders, ah well. Gonna put Pseudo-Leaders in Black City in that case, already replaced youngster Robbie (>_>)'s team with Misty's team. Also, anyone worked out what the Unknown value for Shiny will be? I have Lance in the E4 >_>

Edit: Got it working now, I forgot to delete the original NARC files, tahts what it was. Great program man. So far, used it to replace Marshal with Blue's team (assuming Charizard, but swapping Charizard with Ho-Oh) from Fire Led/Leaf Green. Can't wait to really experiment And I can do the gym leaders too, since with AR, we can rematch people.

What is a good team for the rst, particularly Fantina and Volkner?

Hmm, yeah, those look good. I feel you on Buck, I've given him his normal team, as well as one other Pokemon who slips me, and his Dusknoir is beastly

No rules, which means that you don't have to stick to a type theme (for the most part, One pokemon has to be of the leader's speciality type), and legendaries are allowed. This can also count for the E4+Leader. I want to give myself a challenge, and currently have several interesting ones, like Wake's team is designed to lower attack (Stantler, Staraptor, Gyarados, Masquerain), then Politoed and Porygon-2, for example.
