  1. If you edit them to the proper amount, there is no difference.

still it's better to leave as "0" for the PP's left and fixing it in-game ^^

and after doing some hexing stuffs on GTS pokemon compared to the box's pokemon ..

i don't see any difference on both of them .. so

i do think that we can make legal pokemon without fixing it to the GTS =_=

the difference is only in the seal coordinate.. but if if you put it in box and take it back .. it will still be the same as the pokemon made by pokesav =_=

so it's quite worthless if you try to fix your pokemon through GTS =_=

  2. to tell you the truth ...

editing pokemon using pokesav will leave you a trace in the pokemon ..

especially if you edit the "PP left" section ...

well . it can be fixed by redeposting the pokemon in the storage box

and also for sure, if you edit anything beside the pokemon datas .. it will sure leave the trace ...

and also, some of the AR code will not leave the trace .. including ... pokeradar shiny code ^^ ..

  3. Pokesav can save/load .BIN files.

    yup that's right ^^ ...

when you want to save your pokemon, you can choose between .PKM, and .BIN

if i got the .BIN file .. so i just need to put the hex values of that BIN file to the diamond/pearl savedata

.. in the party/storage hex location directly

.. without converting it first from PKM=>BIN .. or doing any calculation on the BIN/PKM encryption and stuffs .. which i don't really understand how to do it xD

Does anyone really use that file type for this though?

    .. uhmm ... not many people need it , i think ...

but i do need that xD

but, i do think that this program has already enough to help us

so you don't have to update it ^^

  4. just found out that the trace that we are talking about is only in the "Seal Coordinate"

    .. =_=

somehow there are also some traces if you write down the amount of PP left manually

.. but most probably, it can be fixed by redepositing the pokemon in your pokebox

so the remaining one is the seal coordinate ... but i believe that it will also be fixed if it is deposited in the pokebox ...

well .. here is the result of the trace

    -- seal coordinate

    at hex location 0x0EB(235h)

==> using pokesav, the value is : (0x00)

==> after using GTS trading method, the value is (0x03)

and also there are some fact that ...

GTS will not fix hidden values, fateful encounter, trashbytes, etc etc etc ..

it will only fix the seal coordinate and the amount of PP left =_=

anyway, here is the result (PKM and BIN) for deposited GTS' pokemon and the pokesav's pokemon

    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ntt0omm42nb

as for the checksum ... it will not change ... as long as you don't write anything in the amount of PP left for each move(in pokesav) , and redeposited the pokemon in the box(in the game) =_=

and also 85h hidden value for pokemon data will be the same whether you use GTS or pokesav, it will not change =_=

  5. i don't think that nintendo will use them(Kanto , Johto, and else) ...

because pokemon games read the region , from the 'region' section .... so

any value of pokemon region that is put on the Place caught/Egg hatched is completely not logical and it is sure a hacked pokemon ^^

i don't think that HG/SS transferred to plat/dia/pea will use Johto for Place caught/Egg hatched ... the games will most probably read the "region section" for sure ... but with different trashbyte than the "palparked" pokemon ^^

    well .. it's just my assumption .. ^^

  6. don't really get your statement ..

do you mean using the codes on DS will leave the "trace"" .. something like that??

if yes , then the answer is no

whether u use DS or emulator ... if u edit your savefile using pokesav (beside editing pokemon) .. it will sure leave "trace" ^^

if you don't want to play in the tourney , then don't mind about this :trace" things ^^

  7. is it pal parked to Platinum games?? .. if yes , then most probably it's legit

well .. it's possible if someone transfer the celebi in JAN 2009 .. well you know, maybe they backed up the pokemon/savedata first before palparking it into DS ^^

if possible .. try to write down the trashbyte , and i will try to figure it out ^^

  8. yeah, for pokemon's checksum ... you can always use legality checker ..

drop your PKM there and see the checksum .. if it is invalid , then just change the checksum like the one shown in the legality checker ^^

anyway , thx for the program , codemonkey ..

your program will make pokesav .. "almost" useless =_= ... except for editing the pokemon and saving it into .BIN file or converting the .BIN to .PKM which is easily understandable =_=

  9. CadaGuti fixed the Pal Park for Platinum last I checked at least that's the version I Compacted down for Platinum. Fenzo should've already put it up, though in case he forgot here it is as an attachment.

    Pokesav Plat 0.06d:

    • Compact
    • Working Pal Park
    • Should have no spelling errors...maybe (If there is I blame my short attention span)

    Enjoy :kikkoman:

    P.S.

This should've probably been a thread of its own so it's easier for people to find...if so Greencat you do it :P

    thx ^^

gonna try this one after i play platinum :)

  10. Does anyone know when your starter Pokemon's gender, nature, and IV's are determined? When you first start a new game? Or when you first choose one?

just make a legal hatched pokemon with your ideal stat :)

it will take a long time to get one if you do that ...

especially if you search for a shiny starter pokemon :P ( Is it possible to get a shiny starter pokemon?? xD )

  11. The excessive use of "XD" is starting to make this thread unintelligible :(.

    okay2 i won't use it anymore ^^

What do you mean by that? Very little is impossible for Nintendo to program into a game, provided it falls within the technical limits of the system. Including the Pal Park would be an extremely simple matter; the number of DSi's floating around out there is irrelevant. There are still more people using DS and DS Lites.

not about the Pal Park, it's about the SS/HS special edition using DSLite

Speak for yourself; I've bought several things from eBay, and provided you pay attention to feedback/etc., it's a perfectly reliable system.

uhmm .. i live in asia, dude ...

and from what you put the your "personal info" , you live in canada =_= ..

so maybe it's possible to "cross-check" the goods

in my case, how i check it .... and i also hear some information regarding trading/buying in ebay ,that one of the buyer ordered somethin ... and when the package comes, he only got the box =_= , not the "real" goods =_=

how can i believe in ebay if that kind rumor going around in my city xD ...

anyway that's just my perception .. so let's not talk about this :)

i kinda feel that if we continue this ... and it will become debate which can cause "flame" (*_*)

I don't think they can make a DSi exclusive game. I just don't see a game THAT dependent on the camera or music feature. The only exclusives I know of are the ones in the shop since you need the internet to buy them in the first place.

I already have a GBASP and two DSlites so I am good with having something to play my advance games on. Really, I am just looking for an excuse to buy the DSi, because in all honesty..... I really have no need for it xD

oh yes, you need it to buy somethin like worthed DSiWare game ^^

and some animal crossing extra stuffs .. i hope that nintendo also make the clock and calculator version of pokemon :)

    check this out LINK

this is one of the worthed games in DSiWare ,well, it's still JAPAN , i think that they will make the USA version

for me , i will definitely buy this xD when it comes to the USA DSiWare Shop

  12. to use it??

    have you read the instruction??

    it's actually very easy ...

    you just write something like

baka ... and it will show the "katakana" or "hiragana" .. and from that, you can convert it to "kanji" .. but i don't think japanese pokemon use kanji .. it could be katakana ., because that's the "word" that they use for "english-->japanese" ..

somthin like gundam-->gundamu ^^ ... because the japanese doesn't have "m" word .. but they have "mu" ^^

it's pretty easy to use it , dude

just try it first , and after that .. give some comment ...

anyway to use the program you need to know a little bit about the "romaji" ...

or if you don't ... just use the best feature in the program , dictionary ^^
