Just a reminder... if ya'll want to use the English Translation on the GTS, make sure your Pkmn names don't exceed 5 characters. If you don't, the server will the (6plus character) Pkmn as an illegal Pkmn.

Finally got my rom working... I hate the missing in-game fight cursor.

I'll try to verify if there's anything else that needs correcting. Obviously I haven't contributed anything relating to the game yet. I've got nothing else to do in the game, so I'll see what I can do.

It was said the Official v5 Patch may launch as early as today. Don't moan & groan, if they don't come through. This is a community effort, and they do have the right to go trick or treating tonight. They aren't paid to do this, mmmkay?

I don't switch to Kanji prior to trading on the GTS. If you want to use it in English, your Pkmn names must not exceed 5 characters.

For example : Charizard is CZard, Pikachu is Pikac, Ditto remains the same, etc.

The GTS won't allow you to trade the modified Japanese to English names without restricting to 5 characters.

Does anybody knows if when i upgrade my translation version (like V3 to V4) i can still use my saved game with the new translations?

Yes, just rename your rom or save file to the same name as each other.

Okay, so I've been reading around a lot and is it pretty much decided that we can't play the V4 with the exp patch if we have a mac?

Because I have a mac and I can download the prepatched V4 black, but I can't gain exp and when I try to do the exp patch the app I use, "Multipatch", doesn't recognize the .patch file.

..sooooo am I SOL?

Patch your clean rom with Rudolph's Child's Play Patch..... then patch it again with v4.

It seems like from patch v2 to v4 ,the option for "fight" doesnt show and the game would not allow you to use the touch screen and buttons for some reason which i think it freezes the game.. .. so whenever you enter a battle either trainer or wild, you would freeze... =/

-Start a new game

Check if the fight cursor shows up. If it did continue playing on that new save data.

-Obtain a clean rom & patch it again.

What I had to do here, was the aforementioned & patched it with Rudolph's Child's Play. If you do this, remember... the original rom file you used, will be the one you re-insert to your emulator or flashcart. Before you do that, patch the rom once more with Version 4 English for B/W.

iIf you find that your in-battle fight cursor disappeared... you may have to start a new save file.

What flash card are you using?

Using a R4i Gold w/ some v1.35 R4i Revolution firmware.

Im gonna test out something out... If you have any ideas, I'm open.

I've ran into my old problem again... Clean Rom was successfully patched with v4. Continued older save file & tried a battle, but once again I'm missing the fight cursor... the touch screen is unresponsive.

I'm gonna have to find a way around this inconvenience.

Oh yeah V4 is out.. you know the routine.

Run a PC Search for "patch." You should be able to find it as your "Computer Name.patched.nds"

I've already completed the main storyline path. Trial & Error actually helps when the game formula hasn't evolved (pun intended) . Still waiting patiently for the next update, haven't found anything else that ya'll did.

Zork, if you've done everything correct, run a computer search for "patch." & switch to time modified, you should find it (.nds)

It is correct, the so-called v6 English patch on PB is the same as v3 over here.

Fight Cursor is on the touch screen. Crimson is correct...

I'm missing the Fight Dialogue & the touch screen becomes unresponsive.

Nobody missing a in-game "Fight" cursor?

Just registered to show some appreciation. I've been following the progress since Thread 1.

However, I've ran into an inconvenience after successfully patching a Clean Black Rom twice. Upon entering a battle, on my DSi's lower screen, "Fight" disappears & the screen doesn't respond.

Does anyone have a solution? Everything else works fine

The Beta Patches and Official Patch 1 worked great, but I skipped v2. I'm using an R4i Gold w/ 1.35 ver. Revolution modifications. I've tried re-formatting my card.
