  1. I've been looking forever in the rom and I'm not coming up with anything that would lead me to find the data for editing level up moves. Ever since the Advance games this process became a little more difficult. Where if you used a move over the 255th byte it would reset back to 1 and then the level would have 1 added to it. (example Pokemon in RSEFRLGDPPTHGSS learning Heat Wave at level 1 would be 0103) I've tried almost ever quirk I can think of to locate the data in the rom. I can assume, however, that the format has changed, like it did in 3rd generation. There are more than 510 moves now, meaning they'd have to make room for 765 moves, meaning they'd either have to change the format entirely, or make it so the level would have to have 2 added to it. (fake example learning Quash at level 1, 0104) Though I know this isn't the case, as I've tried various methods to try and locate the level up moves data. I'm not exactly sure what to try from here, I tried levels not being doubles, level then move, move then level, various other methods and nothing came out of it, unless level up moves now take 8 bytes and would in theory use this sort of format AABB CCDD where AABB is the move and CCDD is the level learned, though that'd waste space since the highest level is 100, though this is the same group of people who made it so every Pokemon has as many evolutions as Eevee can evolve into instead of just making an exception for Eevee. I don't know what narc it'd be in either, nor do I know an estimate. This is the only generation where they've changed stuff this drastically. Anyone know anything or have any hunches?
  2. Well, I've been doing research on move editing, It's pretty straight forward. Pokemon Black and White Move Editting a/0/2/1 or offset 6970BD4 (Pound) ends at 6975C60 (Fusion Bolt) From what I can tell each attack is 36 bytes, 18 pairs of #### always end with 5353 (XX-1)*24 + 6970BD4 (Formula to find offsets for moves use the list of moves article on Bulbapedia, convert decimal to hex and then plug in the numbers) First set of bytes UNKNOWN Second set of bytes UNKNOWN Third set of bytes Type then UNKNOWN Fourth set of bytes is Physical (01) Special (02) Effect (00) then attack power Fifth set of bytes is Accuracy and PP Seventh set of bytes is Attack Effect (burn, freeze) Eigth set of bytes % chance of effect (seems to always be followed by 01) Thirteenth byte is target 07 attacks yourself. Type bytes 00 Normal 01 Fighting 02 Flying 03 Poison 04 Ground 05 Rock 06 Bug 07 Ghost 08 Steel 09 Fire 0A- Water 0B- Grass 0C- Electric 0D- Psychic 0E- Ice 0F- Dragon 10- Dark Attack effects 03 Freeze 04 Burn As you can see I'm not sure what a lot of the data does. Also the types were sort of shifted around since they completely got rid of the ??? type. I've done some humorous stuff with this data, like made Splash an OHKO move. If you want to mess around with your friends just make sure your Rom is the one hosting. I also managed to make Splash OHKO the user, which was pretty humorous. I'm still experimenting with everything, I imagine most of the missing bytes that I don't know what do are either filler or for triple battle/double battle move targets. I honestly don't know.
  3. I got a little bored today and did this. The original text bothered me. I also fixed the text for Leech Seed and I changed the text for Life Orb saying I think "is hit with recoil" instead of "hung on to life"
  4. So you're telling me that if a Japanese person got an English Pokemon from an English game trade and decided to transfer it from their Japanese game to their Japanese Black and White they couldn't use it on random wi-fi?
  5. After you beat the first Gym go to the Dream Ruins to the right of the city, after all that you go into the buildings where the one scientist girl took you, they'll give you something then you'll be able to advance.
  6. Not sure if its been directly addressed yet, but the latest patch has majorly funny errors. When Zoroark has illusion deactivate it says its attack stat is raised to max. When using Fly it says Pokemon's Anger has begun to rise! for the first turn where they fly up. Since it's really hard to keep up with what everyone is bringing up I'll just post it here anyway.
  7. I just tried the latest patch in the thread. I could post this on the submit errors page but I can't remember how to access it with the account I registered on it... Oh well. Pokemon Black, DesMuMe. Used the new logo patch with EXP fix.
