  1. Axew, sorry for the time it's taken so far. I've been busy prepping for college. I started on it late last night, and it's coming out better than I had envisioned. (I couldn't quite get what I had envisioned, but this effect turned out better anyway.)

It will be done sometime tomorrow.

Hopefully this idea pattern is to your liking as well.

Ta-Da! It's done. Tell me what you think.

  2. @Axew: Thanks for the praise, I was inspired by another work as well, but I think that I can make this version look simply awesome. I've learned quite a few effects since I last made that one. I'll see if I can't build a simply tut for it for you. Mos tof the effects I use are rather simple, but I use them to maximum effect. (Unlike some people I've seen where they use some overly complex effect but spoil it by being to grandiose about it)

@Cod3m8ker: You've already requested two from us, so you're pretty much at the back of the line. Maybe Narwhal or Toffeuy (I haven't seen Illithian since I joined this site) will be able to do it sooner.

  3. Looks like I'm right on time!

Well I've been needing to crack open Photoshop for a while, so yeah I'll go ahead and crunch this out. A few quick questions though.

Do you care about any sort of style of art? If not I'm going to use the Ken Sugimori Art (Official Art), though if you have a particular artist or collection you would prefer, I'm willing to use that. Do you care about what the background of the squares are? Do you want that grainy look that I used on the Bleach one, or would you rather have something else?

What about the dimensions, do you want it the same size as your other ones? Do you want there to be perspective (The squares angle differently) or would you like it flat? Do you want them all to be squares, or would rather some zany shapes? I think covers my questions for the time being. (If you couldn't tell, I was rather disapointed Gin threw away the sig I made for him so quickly [and even then he shrunk it and ruined it] So I've been waiting for an opportunity to reimagine that work, since it was the first time trying that affect, and it worked amazingly!)

  4. I'm glad you like it, I was rather pleased with the Gengar render I found, lol. For whatever reason, I had somehow got it into my head that Milotic had to be using Hydro Pump, and Gengar using Shadow Ball. I thought that was part of the request, which is how I stumbled upon this Gengar...The only Hydro Pump Milotic I could find sucked, so I just went with this and was going to apologize, until I realized that you never requested that, but at least the battle Vibe is there.

  5. I wasn't able to do what I wanted to do, which was make it look like they were popping out of DS's (Well maybe I could have, but with these images it would have been much harder, well Gengar more than Milotic, but whatever)

Still, I'm fairly pleased how it turned out. Milotic might look a little bit too peaceful, but otherwise I think it looks good.

    Do you like it Codemonkey?

I didn't add any text because you didn't ask for it, I can add it if you want.

  6. Quick Comment

You need Reshiram, none of the other 5th gen legends can match him.

After that I suggest you get one more Uber, since you kinda need two to compete with others.

Conkeldurr and Ferrothorn will be EVERYWHERE, can you beat them?

I recommend a special attacker, access to Psychic Moves, and either Fighting or Fire Moves (Fighting moreso than Fire)

It needs to both A) Outspeed Conkel and B) Somehow survive one Mach Punch

It should be able to OHKO Ferrothorn as well.

Reshiram can probably do all of that, except without a special attack.

  7. I believe it's called the Grandfather Theory, where if you travel back in time, and say kill your grandpa, you should cease to exist. According to this theory though, instead of your existence coming to a drastic halt an alternate universe is then created in which you don't exist. Really though, we can't know what happens unless we try. Although we have managed to to achieve a very rudimentary form of Time Travel. (It involves a complex array of light particles, and so far we've only managed to send a single particle of light back in time, the problem with this method is that you cannot send an object back to a point in time that the machine itself hadn't been operational, so if I start the machine up on the 1st of january, I can't go back to any point before it.) Another form of Time Travel is to simply travel at the speed of light, although this would not come with a return trip.

  8. I've personally never ran Chrome, didn't feel the need to. I fell it is neccessary to avoid being dominated by our Google Overlords as much as possible. They now give us internet, know everything, have the planet mapped out in detail, and have access to several brands of Cell-Phone. If that doesn't sound like a well-hidden world domination plan, I don't know what does.

That being said, Internet Explorer is the bottom of the worst. You can't go worse than than IE. (I should hope not at least, maybe AOL) I did a side-by-side comparison once of FF compared to IE in the form of a GIF Image. IE ran at about one third the speed that Firefox has, and this was only version 3.0 (version 4.0 claims to be 6 times faster than 3)

  9. According to String Theory, there is a finite chance that anything will happen next. Indeed you could be walking in New York, take one step forward, and find yourself on Mars. The chance of such a thing happening is so close to 0, that you might as well call it 0. Even if the entire population of earth were to somehow cram themselves into New York, and take a single step forward repeatedly, the chances would barely rise, due to just how small a chance it is.

Another fun fact for you, had Earth formed a single inch farther or closer to the sun than it's current position, life wouldn't have been possible. So what are the odds that the our Solar System would form where it did, that our planet would form the way that it did, that each drop of rain would fall as they did, and that the first microbial life-forms would live as they did, eat as they did, and evolve as they did, to eventually result in Human Beings? About the same odds as trying to get to Mars from New York in a single step.

The point is though, it's possible. No Divine being had to have been present for such events to occur. Just by random chance we exist. Humans were not miraculously complex beings, we started as microbial forms, and worked our way up.

(Single-Celled Organism>Colonial Single-Celled Organism>Multi-Celled Organism>Various Simple Aquatic Life (Jelly Fish for example)>Fish>Amphibian>Reptile>Mammal>Primape>Various Degrees between Man and Ape>Man: During each incarnation the amount of intelligence goes up just a little bit)

It should be noted that Humans are even still evolving. Remember that thing called the appendix? It used to rock back in the day. But now, it's so useless that each generation has a smaller one than the previous, and eventually, it will stop existing. In addition, our race is slowly and steadily getting taller. Small changes, but it's still evolution. (Some scientients are beginning to believe that we can no longer call ourselves Homo-Sapiens, and some even go as far as to say we're)

The TL:DR Version: Godly being didn't really need to exist for the universe to happen. The chance is slim, but us and the universe could have happened without a God.

  10. "and not how the game was supposed to be played like in the first place. "

I have a small qualm with this line. Typically, opinion should be avoided in any sort of guide, and your little Smogon bit was deep-fried in your abhorrition for the standardization of Smogon. Perhaps nit-picky, I would prefer if it was purely factual, like "A "movedex" for various pokemon sets and Ev spreads" yadda yadda.

    Otherwise stuffs be cool.

  11. I can see the basic gist of how you got most of those effects, and it's quite nicely done. I could probably manage something similiar, but it wouldn't come out so clean, mind sharing all the affects you used? or better yet, could you attach the PSD so I can look at all the pretty layers?
