Wait what!? Our in-game tests didn't work... My friend walks up to the door and the bottom screen blips for a sec but nothing happens... I'm speechless.
-
I'd advise starting a new game, only because if you start half way or so through this game it may be too hard, but it is your call. The trainers are significantly harder in mine. As for a list, a friend of mine is offering to make the list but we are testing event work at the moment. On the plus side, he has tested the Arceus event for me as of earlier today and came across a graphical glitch I need to look into. Also, yes we do have 2 blank spots in slowpoke well, my friend tested and never ran into a glitch but it seems he may have missed it, this is a quick fix as all I have to do is remove the 1 Azelf so that Azelf will no longer be obtainable in the night, only Day & Morning. This will be fixed in the next release. PPRE and a hex editor. to all: Testing is getting there little by little. I made an error with my SS files that I'll have to fix before I work on the next release but it will only take about 15 minutes to fix my mistake, after that I can try and seed out the errors and bugs, and from there, go on to modify events as needed. If things go as I planned I can start testing event edits in about 2 days. GameFreak has made my work extremely challenging this time around but I will do my best to adjust the events as needed. If worse comes to worse I will put the event pokémon in as random encounters but I want to try to avoid that.

While I have confirmed the glitch on Route 26 I have yet to duplicate it elsewhere... I gotta look up a list of areas we left blanks in and see if they appear anywhere else but it may just be route 26. If this is the case we may just adjust it so Deoxys is available anytime there...
-
Sorry for the delayed response, that was actually a mistake we made. We have corrected it and it will be in the next patch. We are currently researching another issue we may have came across. A friend of mine was hunting for Deoxys in route 26 and ran into a few glitch pokémon. I have reason to believe this was because he was hunting in the morning and Deoxys only appears at night. Mushen was charged with testing to be certain as I was not that far into the game yet but he has been too busy to test. If anyone runs into glitch pokemon in Ilex Forest afternoon or route 26 morning and afternoon please report your findings. I have reason to believe that it is because we left the slots empty that we are running into them.

Pory my interwebz was down for 4 days so you beat me to it... Thanks! Oh and root/a/0/3/7 is HG and SS is root/a/1/3/6

I'd like to point out that the first 8 gyms aren't even half the game...
-
While the offer is appreciated, That was Mushen's choice. It was also his biggest contribution to the hack. He joined me for Perfect Platinum as I was working on the events so he didn't get to put much into it. So I gave him full freedom to do as he pleased for this. It was his creative contribution to the hack, and personally I like it. You should search a little harder, there are legendaries and rares in quite a few places. *cough* Ilex Forest* Day & Night*cough* and the majority of the starters we placed in-game are as rare as the Legendaries. (Keep in mind that every game has said that the starters were "rare pokémon") And we stuck several out there that are 'rare encounters' because they are not native to the region. You're not gonna take a visit to Alaska and see a Lion roaming around are you? Maybe. But it'd be pretty damn rare!
-
Sorry for the delayed responses my internet was down for awhile and I had work... We didn't touch the levels for the most part. Legendaries are level 70, you could try fighting some of them... I wanted to focus more on the trainers so the trainers will give you a majority of your experience. (My Meganium is level 56 and I only have 7 badges...) Starly can be found where it always is in HG/SS... (Headbutt Pewter City) Next time please check the HG/SS pokedex (http://serebii.net/pokedex-dp/)

It looks like the directories aren't defined properly But I'm not sure... I don't know how to use the Mac version... Check the youtube link I put in the read me. Maybe that can help
-
.xdelta is an extension I made up, you can change the .xdelta to anything you want... Including .patch
-
That depends on what you consider a good grass type.

I went through that area with no problems and was even back there the other night hunting for Celebi... Were you using any codes? Personally I have had some freezing problems but I believe it is my DS at fault cuz when I turn it back on it doesn't find my Acekard and instead boots my GBA game so maybe your card got bumped or it was just a read error... If you can duplicate this or anyone else reports it I'll look into it. You need a tool to open the zip file, such as winrar. Once you have the zip file extracted follow the instructions in the read me I wrote.

This game has more changes than my Perfect Platinum. And we reduced the number of fully evolved pokémon and made certain random encounters a lot rarer to give a challenge to the game and make it last longer. As many had said the original game was too easy. Also this will be the last hack I will be doing, so once we finish off the events, me and Mushen have other projects to work on. If you really take the time to do everything in the game, this game will last you quite awhile.

Actually that helps alot! If we are lucky we might just be able to do it with 3 different in-game Arceus! Has more than 1 in-game been tested? I don't think I have anyway to set a trade pokémon to fateful encounter...
-
Well we already have Arceus capturable in Whirl Islands <1%. I just haven't gotten that far in-game to test what needs to be tested. (life's been busy; work and such...) Also, as far as I can tell from the event, even with the Arceus, it's a 1 time only thing... I don't see a way yet to make it repeat. At the moment I can't even find where it gives you the Pokémon...
-
Thanks! I really only needed 1 tested cuz I know I did em all, it's just I was working from HG and I didn't remember moving the file to SS. I guess for the time being I'll advise against doing any in-game trades cuz I might do what I did with Platinum and set up a way to get the event items via in-game trades. I am definitely doing so for Lati* but I still dunno what I'm gonna do for Gir/Dia/Pal. I gotta get to that point so I can have a good testing environment and then I shall proceed from there.

PM Mushen, he placed em...

Alright guys, the New HG is up, and is fully fixed. If you already have a save file in HG you can continue to use it just swap the ROM. Sorry for the error, I still have no idea what went wrong... My testing will now resume. Actually would you mind checking the trade evolutions for me? I can't shake the feeling I forgot to transfer them... I think I did but I didn't have a backup of the original so I may not have... A quick way to check would be to give a haunter/machoke/graveler/kadabra at lvl 39 a rare candy Also the SS patch is slightly smaller than HG now so it's possible I could have missed it... Burned Tower has magmar and cyndaquil
-
It's been confirmed, Gold is bugged. I'm pulling now and will re-upload shortly was that HG or SS? Cuz we now know for certain HG was broken but I have no reports for SS as of yet... I hope SS is fine but I need to know
-
I'm really hoping it's just a corrupt save... Right now I can fight Suicune infinitely in the basement of burned tower and cannot get Morty to go to his gym... So as soon as someone can tell me if they have or haven't had this problem I can resolve it
-
it may work with no$gba, if you read a bit earlier in the thread I posted a code that may work. an add-on to this, please report what card you are using and possibly what firmware
-
Has anyone here passed the Burned Tower in my hack? I've run into a game breaking issue but I need to know if maybe my save got corrupted (possible due to an issue I was having that needed my card to be reformatted) or if we somehow broke something. Please respond immediately.

489 (maybe 490) at the moment Not sure exactly for a few reasons, 1.) I am unfamiliar with the route orders (it's been about 10 years since I played this one) and 2.) Mushen would know better than me as he placed em. I am in Goldenrod and haven't come across one yet... Hmm I'll take it into consideration. I honestly never took the time to study em too hard back when I did Platinum and figured if anything there is always that guy that reteaches moves... I actually thought he could be rebattled! I'll check into it, but there is certain events that are activated after you beat him (according to Serebii.net) so if they aren't too closely tied together I may be able to work it out...
-
Welcome aboard! I'm always glad to meet a fan! We had a lot more areas to work with so we spread out the pokémon a lot more. Also there wasn't much to add in to begin with... All the SS only pokémon can be found in HG in their SS locations and vice versa. (or at least this is how Mushen was supposed to do it, I have not taken the time to check every single one and I trust his work.) Also I should mention that the hack will only work for sure on the US version. I cannot guarantee compatibility with other regions. There is a code you can use for no$gba, I no longer use no$ now that I have my own DS. I do not know if the code works with my hack but it may. SoulSilver: 020DE16C E1A00000 020D3FA8 E1A00000 HeartGold: 020DD9E4 E1A00000 020D3820 E1A00000

ok first off wth is a charmian and secondly, there is, you just aren't looking hard enough... There are 489 pokemon available in either version and you can use both pokedexes (hg or ss) to find what you are looking for, as for ones that weren't in the game, well you just gotta look for em... But I assure you there is 489 pokemon in the game. (possibly 490 but we haven't had a chance to test arceus yet)
