Eggs never hatch with held items, so that may be a problem. Try referring to to how eggs naturally hatch, Level 1, Stage 1 (or Basic, depends on how you look at it) Pokemon, and other things that naturally happen. I was able to get a Slathoth (tried Slaking) in an egg with all the moves and abilities that I wanted, on D/P/PT. If you're trying to do it through codes, make sure you change the second line, replacing it with the two lines (as described here) http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?7511-Codes-Not-Working The HGSS Pokesav is currently referencing the Japanese HGSS Version, which means the hex codes aren't exact. However by doing what is described in that thread, it should fix all of your AR Codes (it's never failed yet).

I found that Pokesav is referring to the Japanese version of the game and generating the codes for the Japanese versions. I found this out by trying a couple of codes, and then after figuring out the American SID code. The American version has a different set of Hex-code than Japan. I'm finding that Pokesav isn't ready for the American version yet. EDIT: Figured it out, all you need to do is replace B2110DC0 00000000 (That line) With 62111880 00000000 B2111880 00000000 In the code and everything will work fine! (Tested, it works!)
