  1. Hi all! I’m trying to discover the offsets of the file saving where there are Viridian City Trainer House data in pokemon HG/SS. This data should be in a non zero bytes batches only if the player has a battle with someone who connects with through PokeWalker. In this case an NPC character of the rival player will appear in Trainer House at Viridian City near the default trainer Cal. I would like to edit these trainers giving them very competitive teams to make the game more challenging beyond Battle Frontier. Unfortunately this is the first time I play (after more than a decade) Pokemon SS on Delta emulator on my smartphone, so I never used this interesting feature. If someone had a file .sav with this stuff would be warmly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I think I' ve found something interesting downstream of the answer of @Poke J. In practice I would like to add, but it should be confirmed that the offsets useful for editing trainer data in the Trainer House range from 0xE72C to 0xF5FF (at least in my italian .sav file). I cannot confirm this as I do not have a.sav file with these trainers, but: the shape of the fields corrisponds to the records lenght indicated by @Poke J. There are 10 blocks composed by an header and 6 parts (the last 5 separated by rows of FxF) that match to the fact there could be at max 10 trainers with 6 pkmns each one (source: Trainer House - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia). Now I will try to fill that bytes to see what happen, but without a saving file format with already TH data will be hard.
  3. Five years later, I find myself extremely interested in this topic. No tool has yet been released to edit the SS/HG save file with the option for Viridian City Trainer House. I am a newbie, in the sense that I am not even able to understand how to obtain the part of the memory you mention from the Desmume emulator. I would appreciate it if you could give me some explanations. My pokemon research is fill the room with 10 trainers whose Pokémon and stats I decide. I know that for the old Pokémon Gold/Crystal games, it is apparently easy to change this part according to this link: I think this line of research is greatly underestimated in terms of its importance, though I don't know if this is due to its apparent difficulty. I also tried asking in the DS ROM editors community, but no one seems interested since their main focus is building new hack ROMs. Thank you to those who, years later, believe that this is an important missing piece for the playability of SS/HG games.
