Thanks! Just hatched my first shiny yesterday! ^^

So I want to start my first shiny breed in Sw&Sh. I use one JAP Entei(X&Y save file) that I got to turn in to a 6IV Shiny Foregin Ditto. I change the SID/PID number and pkhex say its legal. So I transfered to bank, bank to home, and finally to Shield. My question is: the matsuda method will work or did I forget to do something?

Reeeeeeeeely sorry for being too late guys but I got to ask: I just need to download the save file and put in my 3DS to load the save with the checkpoint??
