    I was getting the same error with myboy and the fix was going to advanced settings and changing the cartridge save type from automatic to eeprom

    Thanks. What I want is to obtain the event pokemon to transfer them to bank, and then to home. It sounds like the end result is exactly the same for whichever way I do it.

    In the PKHexmystery gift database, you can either get the wonder card to inject into a save file, and then you'll be given the gift pokemon in-game; same as if you attended an official event when it was offered. The other option is that you can use the mystery gift database to insert the gift pokemon directy into a box on the save file. Is there any advantage to doing one way over the other? (Inserting the pokemon directly is likely faster, but anything other that.)
