Most of my Pokemon cart collection.

What's the difference between the two copies of Sun/Moon (and other main games)? They appear to be the same region. Are they so you can have multiple saves or something?

Nothing. I just always end up buying more copies of Pokemon games later on down the line. So I figured I might as well buy them new instead of dealing with some ebay seller charging 30$ for a cart only copy or 50$ for a sealed one. I also wanted to double up on event Pokemon.
