Problems with setting up a GTS server

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I was trying to set up a GTS server with HyperGTS. I followed the instructions from here.

I can access the GTS, but others can't.

I tried several programs. I tried sendpkm.py, HyperGTS and the modded HyperGTS version by Shiny Jirachi.

My Ports are open (that's what pkmsendportcheck.exe says)

I made a picture with my steps so maybe you can see where my mistake is :(

Anyone has any idea what's wrong?

That site tells me that my ports are closed. Well, i guess it's an port error, but i wonder why pkmsendportcheck.exe says they are open :/

Okay did you test both 53 and 80? When I off my firewall port 80 is open but still 53 is a problem....

Try deactivating your fire wall and anti virus just to check if it works or not.

i deactivated all and activated the "exposed host" function on my router (all ports open), still not working.

port 53 is afaik for the outgoing connection, it won't be open for incoming connections. but i may be wrong.

i have no clue what DMZing is ^^ after a bit of research, is it about deactivating the hardwarefirewall from my router? if so, i did that, too.

the site says me that my port is closed, and it says that about all other ports too (even if i open ALL ports).

You are doing some wrong, or your ISP or router is the culprit:/ even after you disabled your pc firewall, opened every port it still doesn't work? Then its your ISP, for now the HyperGTS won't work then until there is a more compatible version did your ISP provide a PDF user manual? If so let me check it.

Yeah you're right because its in Danish? I speak english. And I kinda found out what was I doing wrong maybe it my help. Go to the IP filtering and there you see two sections Incoming and Outcoming/Outgoing, Outcoming is open (duh) but incoming is blocked-so automatically it ignores any external IP unblock the ports and your done, And play with your router even though if you screw up you can always factory resset it or make a back-up. My router has a heck of different customization options and I'm sure the answer is in there.
